I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lighthouse Seafoods Fresh Seafood Market and Restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful experience. This establishment, located near the waterfront, offers a unique combination of a fresh seafood market and a restaurant, providing customers with the best of both worlds.
The ambiance of the restaurant is charming and inviting, with its nautical-themed decor and warm lighting. As you enter, you are greeted by a display of the freshest seafood catches, which sets the tone for the culinary journey that awaits you. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer recommendations or answer any questions you may have.
Now, let's talk about the food. The star of the show at Lighthouse Seafoods is undoubtedly their Royal Red Shrimp dish. These succulent shrimp are cooked to perfection, retaining their natural sweetness and tenderness. Served with a delicate blend of spices and herbs, the Royal Red Shrimp dish is a true delight for seafood lovers. Each bite is a burst of flavors that leaves a lasting impression.
Another highlight of the dining experience is the homemade salad dressing. Made in-house using the freshest ingredients, the dressing elevates even the simplest of salads. Its creamy texture and well-balanced flavors complement the crispness of the greens perfectly, creating a harmonious symphony of tastes.
Apart from these standout dishes, the menu at Lighthouse Seafoods offers a wide variety of options to suit every palate. From expertly prepared fish to delectable shellfish, there is something for everyone. Whether you prefer your seafood grilled, fried, or served raw, you can rest assured that the quality and freshness will exceed your expectations.
In addition to the restaurant, the attached seafood market is a treasure trove for seafood enthusiasts. Here, you can select from an impressive array of fresh catches and take them home to prepare your own seafood feast. The knowledgeable staff is always ready to assist, providing cooking tips and recommendations to ensure your culinary endeavors...
Read moreUntil today, this place did not stand out as deserving of a positive or negative review. The prices are high, the portions are small but the food is ok (not great but pretty good and it is nice to support local business). I mainly go here since my mother likes it.... And now, what did they do to earn this review?
After lunch I bought a couple crab cakes for later and I noticed a sign that said they added a fee for credit cards (3.75%). This has always slightly annoyed me even though I understand that businesses get charged for credit card usage. As I checked out I laughed and said the fee was a bad idea as it makes people feel like they are being nickel and dime and it would be better to just raise the price by a quarter. The man who seemed like the owner said that it costs them 90k/year in these fees. I smiled and said that fees like this annoy people and I just wanted to give some feedback. I was smiling, laughing and simply wanted him to know that some people are annoyed by that policy. His response: "Well, you can go somewhere else". What kind of business man says that to a customer. Well, I smiled again and told him I would be happy to in the future but first he earned a yelp review.
If you come to this establishment please know that you are not a valued customer. It is such a shame that a local small business treats its customers...
Read moreStopped by for lunch since I stumbled upon the restaurant from Google Maps trying to find a place nearby after some coffee. Looked legit from the simplicity and focus of the menu on day boat fresh seafood plus a seafood counter. Florida has some of the best fishermen so it’s hard not to immediately love a place that’s engrained locally.
We tried the conch fritters, which I thought were fine, but I wouldn’t get them again since I prefer chunkier pieces of conch in a fritter to break up the texture. The house remoulade is delicious and goes well with a lot of the seafood. My brother got the Salmon burger grilled, which he really enjoyed, and I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy, fried, which I thought was delicious with just the right amount of batter that didn’t takeaway from how fresh the shrimp was. It was fried and seasoned perfectly.
Mikayla took care of us and she was an absolute sweetheart. The service was well-paced and super hospitable even with a good amount of people in for lunch. You could also observe how friendly the folks at the seafood counter were as well with the customers who were looking to make purchases from there. I will definitely be back and so glad I stumbled upon this place and would recommend if you’re looking for a pure seafood spot with high quality eats and...
