Have several enticing cupcakes on display that you can’t buy on the spot, but have to pre-order.

I’ve had multiple occasions when my son wanted me to take him here, we walk in and he got excited to eat one of the cupcakes on display, only to be told by the worker that those are not for individual sale but only to pre-order. Thats ridiculous. Why put it on display for people who walk in if they cant buy it? And usually its the best looking cupcakes. It’s extremely frustrating to have money in my pocket and not be able to buy something for my child that you put in front of their face like an enticing tease.

My other kid is allergic to eggs and dairy. While they do offer vegan cupcakes, it apparently takes them 30 minutes to prepare them (they keep em frozen) except on two days when they are available. Also frustrating. Why not have a few vegan options ready to go on the shelf or in the back?

Nothing Gourmet about this place. I'm surprised to find such great reviews in regards to the taste of the cupcakes. I tried the Boston Cream, Chocoholic, Red Velvet, & Cookies n Cream minis. For a specialized store they tasted sub par. You could get something more flavorful from Publix. 4 Rivers in Longwood has an excellent Red Velvet. So far this place comes nowhere near the flavor sensation of "Sweet by Holly". It's unfortunate. The shop is cute and smells like pink bubble gum. The one person who was in, was polite and excited about the cupcakes. The cupcakes themselves look scrumptious, however they fall short in the flavor department big time. None tasted gourmet or special, complete surprise considering everything else is on point. But for those of you who haven't been to Sweet by Holly because it's all the way over in Waterford Lakes. Make sure your pay for your advanced order at time of ordering, if not they will not honor the quote given to you. This would be my only complaint, working for a small business myself we value earning new customers and honor quotes given to them even if prices go up. We had placed an order, was told can pay now or they'll call the week before and we can pay then (a week later) We go to pay and they tell us the cost has changed, no heads up that it could possibly go up and refused to honor the quote they gave even though they had the order because it hadn't been paid. We asked when did the prices go up, and was told 2 days ago. Was asked over and over what they could do, we asked for the quote given to be honored and they refused. So because of this issue unfortunately I will no longer be giving them any of my business, nor suggest anyone to use them, which is a shame because they did/do amazing work and the cakes taste...
