Lunch Break Gone Wrong I stopped in for a pizza during my lunch break, with plenty of time to spare since I get an hour. After ordering and paying, the clerk said it would take 10-15 minutes, which was perfectly fine.
A few minutes later, I was told the payment was still pending. I scanned my card again, but it was still pending on their end. To double-check, I called my bank. They confirmed the payment had gone through and even provided a transaction ID, which I showed the clerk. Their only solution was to ask me to wait while they made the pizza, hoping their system would catch up.
After waiting for another 15-20 minutes, I asked if my pizza was ready. To my surprise, the manager informed me they had cancelled the order because the payment was still pending on their screen. I showed them the bank's confirmation again, but they refused to acknowledge it.
What bothered me the most was that they could have told me about the cancellation much earlier, instead of making me wait for so long. I left without my pizza, frustrated and now on the phone with my bank to get...

So we figured logically placing an order directly through Papa John lake Mary location we'd would be getting directly from them No third party. Welp finding out this is not how they do business and used door dash who delivered my order to someone else. They Did not even call the listed number to confirm the location of the Apt number. Or read notation of unit number! Called back store and some girl basically placed blame on the third party company they're using "door dash"and did not remedy the issue! Mind you this is our first time even attempting to have an order through Papa John's. I guess we will be never know what the experience is like bc we will not make the mistake another time with the company as a whole. We ordered 1 pizza and an order of chicken poppers for delivery. The confirmation said our food would arrive within 33-43 minutes. An hour and a half later our food still hadn’t arrived so we called the store. The manager was unfriendly and blamed our delayed order on several things.
Look, I own a business. I get it, things happen, but that doesn’t mean you don’t try and still make it a pleasant customer service experience for someone paying for your product, especially when there are so many other competitors out there. At the very LEAST, apologize, and if you’re really trying to salvage the situation, offer a coupon or at least offer to remake the food so it doesn’t arrive ice cold. At this rate we’d already waited over an hour, I’d have preferred to wait another 45 minutes for fresh, hot food and not the lackluster cold pizza we received.
