Listen to these bad reviews. I do a lot of driving for work and as a result eat a fair bit of fast food all over the area. This Wendy's is the closest to my house and is by FAR the worst Wendy's, if not fast food experience in the area.
Food is constantly poorly prepared and I have seen both undercooked and overcooked food. Missing items, incorrect items, etc. Stock also seems to be an issue here, I worked in a kitchen and in a retail environment. I get there are a lot of factors that can affect stock, but it's such a common issue at this location I can't help but assume it's an issue of ordering and inventory management.
Service has always been a mixed bag at this location. Generally the staff has been fairly friendly, but as others have said slow responses and a dazed appearance aren't uncommon. Awkward conversations. I almost had to tell one employee "Sir this is a Wendy's" when he was trying to have a conversation about about war in the middle east while I was at the drive through window. I appreciate the attempt at conversation, but that's not really the time or place when you are literally just going to pass my food through the window. While most employees are friendly or at least try to be, some do seem grumpy or angry about being there.
I don't know if this is a management issue or an owner issue. But the problems here extend beyond a few bad employees.
Do yourself a favor, if you really want Wendy's. Go to the one off of Brown Rd. or Sashabaw Rd....
Read moreWe went through the drive through and got a biggie bag and upgraded it to a LARGE FRY and a large lemonade, we got the large lemonade and then this lady handed us our food, we pulled into a parking spot to check the food as one does and I see I got a small fry instead, as I was about to go inside to tell them I got a small instead the girl came out to give someone their order so I said I got a small instead of a large and she rudely said “No I defintely put a large in there” I showed her the small container it came in and she still didn’t believe me and said that it was the nugget container so I showed her the nugget container with nuggets in them and she finally believed me and went inside and made us another large fry, but that is terrible customer service, I’m sorry but you do not have to be so rude I don’t care how miserable you are, it was her mistake not mine, I paid for a large fry I should get a large fry, it’s so rude to say “I defintely gave you a large” when she defintely didn’t… will NEVER be back and that lady needs to learn how to talk to people especially when she is...
Read moreWhat's not to like about burnt burger patties, missing cheese on cheeseburgers, and a drive thru guy that can't possibly listen long enough to take an order? This used to be the only fast food place I'd go to but after the fire, this place is absolute garbage.
After placing my order there was dead silence.. For like 2 minutes. I asked politely if the box was working or if he wanted me to pull up and he apologized and asked me to repeat. I repeated the order, and same thing. This repeated (no exaggeration) 4 times. He finally put it in but then when I pulled up he apologized and said there was a distracting message he got and I was understanding and told him that it's really no big deal. I gave him the benefit of the doubt bc everyone has an off day... But this happened two more times before I gave up.
I know this is just a fast food place run by minimum wage employees, but do something or this will be another has-been restaurant in Lake Orion. We have too many options now and a place like this...
