The Black Wine Market in Lake Oswego is an absolute must-visit for wine enthusiasts! From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an exceptional experience. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wine, making the tasting experience both educational and enjoyable. I recently indulged in a fantastic tasting flight that showcased a well-curated selection of both white and red wines. Each pour highlighted the depth and diversity of regional winemaking. The LPINOT NOIR 2022 from Björnson Vineyards (Willamette Valley AVA, Salem, OR) was beautifully balanced, offering lush red fruit flavors with a hint of earthiness. The Pinot Noir Estate Reserve 2021 from La Biblioteca (McMinnville AVA, Dundee, OR) was equally impressive, boasting rich dark cherry notes with a silky finish. For something bolder, the Tannat 2020 from Abacela (Umpqua Valley, OR) was a standout-robust, full-hodied, and packed with dark fruit and spice. On the white wine side, the Chardonnay 2021 from St. Innocent (Freedom Hill Vineyard, Mt. Pisgah, Dallas, OR) was a delight, with its bright acidity and creamy texture. The Albariño 2022 from Sass (Horse Heaven Hills Vineyard, WA) was crisp and refreshing, with vibrant citrus and floral notes, perfect for a warm afternoon. The Black Wine Market does an excellent job of curating a diverse and high-quality selection, making it a fantastic place to explore wines from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or just beginning to explore the world of wine, this spot is a true hidden gem. I can't wait to return!

This wine bar is inside an artists' cooperative, which makes it unique and special to begin with. Wander around, talk to the artists and engage with their art, then settle in at the gorgeous bar (pro tip: get Adam to tell you about how they made it). Their goal here is to highlight Oregon's incredible wines (and recently: Sake), and the owners are earnest and genuine about their love for what our state has to offer. They find bottles for the best prices and are eager to tell you why they love what they're pouring. I've had a chance to talk with the owners, Adam's mom, and their dog Elvis, and each time I go I feel at ease in minutes. The setting is extraordinary - beautiful wood tables set in among all that artwork - and at the same time, comfortable. Please stop by for a flight or a glass, and let yourself be tempted to take home a bottle of your favourite.

This new wine shop at Bridgeport Village offers a great selection of locally curated Oregon wines, along with beer, cider, and non-alcoholic options. Owners Adam and Jenna Black, who helped us choose a wine flight, made the experience welcoming, with Adam’s knowledge and the unique bar he built adding to the charm. The shop shares space with other local businesses, so you can explore art or grab a sweet treat while you’re there. Hopefully, we’ll meet their 12-year-old poodle, Elvis, next time—he inspired their logo! Highly recommend stopping by for a wine flight, beer, or snack and enjoying the relaxed vibe
