I Google this cafe and was joyful it was local and black owned was a plus. I figure this place could be my regular spot when I’m over this way. I had such high hopes that was quickly faded away by the staff member that I believe to be the owner. I definitely will not return! For starters, I normally go to several different cafes on a daily basis. So, I know a thing or two about cafes. The overall interior of this cafe/restaurant was nice. The cafe had public parking which is a must for me. This was my first time patronizing so I checked for the usual things. The cafe has public parking, decent sized chairs, tables to sit my laptop and other personal belongings. The cafe had outlets near the tables. However, when I go to a cafe it is always an unspoken rule that the cafe have the WiFi password and name on the table. That’s just standard for an establishment that’s called a cafe. A family member had to go up to the worker(owner) to ask for the WiFi and my family member felt as if the owner didn’t want to give out the WiFi information. Maybe don’t advertise yourself as a cafe if you don’t want guest(customers) to sit in and use your WiFi. We also didn’t know it was a restaurant inside the cafe which wasn’t a problem. I didn’t try the food so I can’t say whether it was good or not but so many people came into the restaurant so I’m guessing the food is good. The owner made my family member and I feel uncomfortable so we left. I for the record did order a horchata latte and I didn’t really care for it but it could have just been my taste buds. I wouldn’t go back just base off the interaction that was had but I think a person should try out this establishment they may have better experience than us. I wouldn’t considered this a cafe but a restaurant that has...
Read moreThis morning, I was originally going to Starbucks for some coffee. When I got there, the drive thru line was insanely long. That’s when I thought maybe I should try Andy’s this morning and ordered a drink using your online order feature.
As soon as I walked in to get my drink, I knew I made the right choice. Everyone was so friendly! I even left with gifts — an adorable plant and a coffee spritzers sampler. Honestly, it was a great experience.
So here I am realizing that in the same amount of time I would have spent in the drive thru line, I got to be in a cafe with people who were friendly, having conversations with their guests, and enjoying what they do. Today was my light bulb moment — this is why supporting local is so important. There’s a lot of love and care here, and it is evident as soon as someone walks in.
Thank you all for the...
Read moreMy daughter and I always get coffee on Thursday mornings together. We've been looking for an actual coffee shop and there aren't many in the area. We saw Andy Sunflower online and decided to give them a shot.
We are absolutely not disappointed at all. The owners were incredibly pleasant and friendly. The coffee is absolutely delicious with lots of options for anything one may want.
I can't speak highly enough of the owners we talked to. They obviously take great pride in their location and operation. I'm highly recommending this spot to all my friends.
One thing to note: they operate out of a shared space. Their banner is on the window but there is a different sign on the building. Don't pass the spot up because of the sign, you...
