1/27/2025 Absolute garbage𤬠I understand that eating at any airport is going to be overpriced. But the Big Bowl owned by the ā Lettuce US Entertain Youā, located at Midway Airport is at the top of the worse food and service I have ever had at an Airport. I ordered the combination bowl (not a bowl, square plastic catering box) with Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef $17.99. In addition, I ordered the noodles in place of rice. Pay $1.50 extra. The food was barely edible. First it was very oily and super salty. The Orange Chicken was mushy, mostly breading with tiny pieces of chicken (not exaggerating). Then there is the Mongolian beef, again small pieces of beef you could barely find within the slop of over cooked frozen vegetables. Clearly flavor is of no importance to this business. Another insult was the noodles. After paying extra, I received maybe about 4oz of noodles and so greasy. Finally, there is the customer service.I tried to get the of the attention of the service staff behind the Counter when I was having trouble with the food ordering kiosk, but were unresponsive. They kept their backs to me and folks, I was the only person standing in line at the time! In the end I tried for refund for my barely touched food, but again I was ignored. After paying close to $22 dollars, I threw it away. It was that bad and did not want to get sick. Very upsetting to do so. I hate waste. So donāt, donāt eat at this place. For the food rating I didnāt wanna give it to three because I wanted to be sure that folks didnāt think the food tasted bad unfortunately itās the prices. Thatās the reason for the four is that I know my son enjoys the taste of the food and Iāve also tasted it for him and it is very good. However I order from the hot dog place and $16 for Fries and a hotdogs is also high price for what you get. My ratings are high because I have an adult son with autism and the staff is phenomenal and itās very convenient for my son who has autism to use the kiosk and have him learn how to order from the kiosk. Weāve had no problem with the kiosk, and at times we did order from the counter, which is an option that you can do. Itās not completely an option that they donāt provide. the staff I wish there was an option for me to give 20 stars too. My son has friended one of the gentleman that works there and all of the staff knows my son. Today when we came, his buddy wasnāt working but because the staff knows him (my son ) one of them, FaceTimed the gentleman that works there and my son was just over the moon. it brightened up his day and it always makes our time returning home....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate September 29, 2024 They have replaced human interaction ordering food with kiosks that are quick and easy to order the food from. Hate to say it, but this is an improvement since as you can see in my review from a year ago, the human based service here was not good at all.
Now all it has become is just a semi decent, unhealthy yet convenient food option at the Midway airport.
Having said that, check out the picture I have attached of king pao chicken dish I got. Itās mostly rice and a few pieces of chicken. Price: $17.99 plus tax. I think itās a bit ridiculous but you can make your own judgment.
