So today is Veteran's Day. I am retired Navy AND a disabled veteran. Dunkin Donuts nationwide are offering ONE donut to veterans as a "thank you for your service"...I decided to stop in and get a donut. I showed the cashier my military ID and inquired about whether this Dunkin location participated in the free donut for veterans today...the cashier didnt know what I was talking about so she asked the night shift lead/manager (man with long ponytail) and he said "no we don't do that now step aside"...I asked him "why do I have to step aside?" to which he responded "because you are not ordering or paying for anything" to which I responded "I actually was about to, I just asked about the Veteran's Day donut first. He told me "you were trying to get free stuff and he would call the police"...so I am totally confused now and ask to speak with a manager!!! He refused and said the owner is named Ali and now I need to leave before he calls the police...I told him he can Google the info about Dunkin giving donuts to veterans but now I don't even want anything from this location...then just left after that! Similar to the Dunkin at the Rosemont station (last one before O'Hare Airport), they specialize in speed in an incredibly compact space. Unlike Rosemont station however, this Dunkin is in the free area of the Midway CTA station.

The window is a slit only a midget could reach, the staff is so cramped the can't move past each other and consequent are yelling back to each other to pass parts of the customer orders and tend to loose track of what goes in with what order. Many times I have scurried off to find that I got part of someone else's order in my bag. Too late turn around as most folks have border a train or headed into the airport won't be likely to return. Those saying they got fast service are either travelling past midnight or on some off day, as this is a heavily travelled area of a major metropolitan airport to city connection.. avoid this place, Dunkin donuts has many superior locations in Chicagoland, this not...
