Given the pandemic, I'd expect this place to already have better sanitation standards than before.
Upon entering, the air was dull. There did not seem to be much air circulation around. There are two doors still, which the handles to not seem to be properly cleaned. After entering, the tables, walls, and ceiling looks as if they were either uncleaned, or falling apart. Some parts of the wall, and the ceiling have black stains on them.
Upon sitting down, the tables are very, very small, that 4 people could barely fit there. There was the napkin rolls, where you had to grab it with your hand to be able to rip the napkins apart. This did not seem like it was properly cleaned either.
The server came, dropped off bottled salsa, and was ready to take our order. We asked if all the drinks were freshly made that day, they said no. It was made the day before. We also asked about the lemonade, if it was naturally made. Our server said yes, it's freshly squeezed. Once we got our drinks, it was the worst freshly made drink I ever had. The lemonade had the resemblance of cheap powdered to lemonade. Probably not even lemonade, but something that's been flavored, that resembled nothing of lemonade.
We asked the waiter about this, and the waiter mentioned that they add some gelatin to the drink as well. THIS WAS NOT SAID BEFORE!
WHAT IF PEOPLE DON'T EAT PORK OR IS ALLERGIC TO IT? AND GELATIN GETS ADDED ?!?
The waiter was kind enough to exchange our drinks. That's a plus.
Looking at the cook, the cook was cleaning the floor, and his workspace as well. There were no gloves used. As soon as we placed our order, I did not see if the cook washed his hands, but he was also cooking with gloves. This is also a red flag here.
I'm surprised this place has not been shut down yet. If I could, I would give this place lower stars for its...
Read moreWalked in and was able to place my order quick I ordered 1 torta 5 tacos and a burrito . The price was good and order came out quick. When we got home I noticed that the burrito was missing and they gave me a torta instead. I called and let them know they had given me the wrong item . The women who took my order apologized and said that she thought I had said torta . I told her it was fine (mistakes happen) I asked if I could go back and get what I had asked for she said yes that she was going to start prepping it for me but I had to take the torta back . Which I don't understand why if it's going to be thrown out any ways and and we are still in a pandemic also im already going out of my way having to go back . I showed up handed her the bag which it was a different women then the one I had spoken to and she said I had to pay more because the burritos cost more . In my opinion she should of just given it to me for the inconvenience and I wasn't telling them to remake my whole order again she said that she also gets in trouble which to me that's not my problem when they also acknowledged that they made the mistake she just rolled her eyes at me and said well just this time no apology nothing...
Read moreThis is a small no frills joint but the food has that homecooked flavor about it so we kept coming back.A couple months ago, this would have been a solid 4star but "what a difference a day makes!" The chef decided to mix chicken and steak for our burrito tho we ordered steak. The waitresses are nice but apparently defer to this guy. I guess if I kept hearing how good my food was all day,I would get a little cocky too. We went back after a couple months to order our burritos and chicken quesadilla (these were our go to items) and found that the prices had gone up at least $2 on each item. The worst part was the quesadilla! Instead of layering the tortillas and filling the cheese and chicken ,etc in the middle and cutting it into quarters, they put the cheese in 1 big tortilla, folded it in half and charged $10. Before it was less than $8 and was meatier and 2 tortillas ( like at most restaurants). The food is tasty but there are a few other very good restaurants within 5 minutes of this one. The chef was wearing his Kangol style hat and sunglasses inside at the grill.I see you, big man,but I like to enjoy my food without feeling like I just got hustled. I learned my lesson, I'm good. It's...
