La Baguette Bakery — Restaurant in Lake Township

I order a cake 1/4 of a pan for my daughters 8th birthday it wasn't cheap I payed 60 dollars for 1/4 of a pan i asked the lady in charge why I was paying more for a regular cake she said it was because of the filling and that it would be more cake than a 3leches cake.. and when I saw the finished product I was so disappointed it looked nothing like the picture of their catalog. All I changed was the color of the trim from blue to pink and it was very disappointing to see how they decorated the cake it looked like a little kid had decorated the cake. The cake was 1/3 frosting 1/3 cake and 1/3 filling. It was like they had used patches of cake to build it when I tried to cut a slice every single slice fell apart. It tasted nothing like cake it tasted like the strawberry filling which made the cake super soggy. Never again will I be purchasing a cake for my kids birthday I am very disappointed in this bakery. Went in to quickly buy a cake asked if they cake flavor was available and the worker said yes. She asked if the 10in cake was fine. I then asked about which sizes were available. She said that’s only size, but if that were the case then why did she ask what size I wanted the cake in.. this is my second time here and I paid $20 more for the same exact cake compared to my first visit here. Definitely felt taken advantage of given that I looked differently than the first time I visited and I was in a little of a rush. I tried to go back in ask about this and said they could not refund me just give me store credit. But don’t plan on ever visiting again.

They made the ugliest cake for my daughter 3 different lettering sizes. Happy was in bold. The word birthday in cursive. And the nastiest of all was the way they put my daughter's name on the front part of the cake, it was lopsided sided ,did not match the cake design at all. I don't trust them with making another cake this is the worst bakery, I've been to. I've gone to these places and " food 4 less" makes them better than this. Wal-Mart make them perfect aswell .
