My mom, sister, and I decided to come here for my sister's birthday. I ordered a pina rellena for myself, and my mom and sister shared one too. They started to dig in when they realized that there was no shrimp in it, so I checked mine and no shrimp as well! We told the waiter and he said he would let the chef know. He came back 15 minutes later to tell us that the chef said that "he never makes mistakes", so the chef was basically calling us liars. Pina's are expensive enough for them to not even have shrimp! That was absolutely ridiculous. We once again told him that we ordered a pina which is supposed to have shrimp and that it was wrong of them to not give us what we ordered. He again took forever to come back and when he did it was with a plate of like 5 shrimp.. AND none for my mom and sister "because there's was already partially eaten when we told him." There's was barely touched and thank god I hadn't taken a bite of mine, if not they wouldn't have brought me anything! So we just ended up sharing the 5 shrimp amongst the 3 of us. Honestly we were being polite to the waiter and he was too, but I wish he would've pushed to get the customers what they ordered. That chef was absolutely horrible, being stingy with the shrimp like he was paying for them....
Read moreWent on a Thursaday evening abt 8ish. Nice family restaurant. I’m not really a seafood lover but my boyfriend loves crab legs so he was interested in goin. Food was plentiful, service was quick & satisfying. Most of decor and print was in Spanish, glad menu had true pictures and waiter was accommodating. I had a bacon wrapped shrimp dish that was delicious , I think I ate 2 or 3 and took 4 home ( son did save me one of my 4 that was suppose to b for Friday lunch ) . My entree also included a rice dish , fries and a salad. My boyfriend order crab legs that were huge . He ate 3 cluster that had abt 3/4 claws on it. ( I guess that’s how you described them) he took 3or 4 clusters home as well for Friday lunch. The salsa that was & is very spicy, but I enjoyed it with caution. There also was a think the waiter describe it as a fish appetizer on tostada that I loved as well.. we were also provided with plenty chips and crackers to accompany the salsa. We both ordered pina coladas 👍🏽 ( no alcohol served but u can bring your own in )I think there are about 3 or 4 more dishes I would try but I was only happy because my boyfriend finally found him a crab leg spot. The five stars are for him. Glad he loved it. I would recommend for the real seafood or...
Read moreVery good food, or at least the chapuzon is and a couple of other dishes are. But last night we had the worst experience we have had in a restaurant as far as service. To begin with, the waiter took between 25-30 mins to come and take our order and that was only because my husband had to go get him (the restaurant wasn't full, there were about 7 empty tables) he brought the wrong beverages, he took forever to bring the tostadas for the orders of chapuzones that we made so our food was getting cold, they usually bring several plates for the chapuzones, we had to ask for that too so we had to start eating on the small plates they bring the ceviche tostada on. He never once came to see how we were doing, when he finally came about an hour later, it was with an attitude and to finally take away the plates that were in our way and told us that there were people waiting. I told my husband that after this horrible experience, i do not want to go back even though i know we will not find this kind of food anywhere else in the country (we go there from Indiana). Oh, i just remembered, their prices also went up...
