Well I was on a business liaison and my partner introduce me to this restaurant and inn that support anybody working in the railroad especially in the freight railroad like CRX or Union Pacific or Santa Fe. Not the passenger like Amtrak or our local Metra. Anyway,s he had treated me here and I've never heard of this place in the south side. They were only for take out but they had a bench to eat outside early that morning before it got really sweltering hot today. I have the "Train Masters" breakfast which was a omelet of ham Swiss cheese and a side of French toast instead of pancakes because I didn't want to have a super heavy breakfast. Overall, the food was delicious for breakfast. Nothing underrated and nothing overrated if I'm around the South Side this is a hidden gem to eat here as well next to the other South Side American breakfast places but due to the pandemic you have to take this home unless you eat on one of the single bench that they had out there. the staff was courteous enough because it rained the day before to wipe it down and not sit on a wet bench. Other than that it was a decent and delicious breakfast I either recommend you come here and sit on the bench and also I recommend that you call ahead to place your order. The orders on the menu are based off of conducting and train-related situations that's why my order was called the "train Masters" breakfast.

Been couple times right when they open 6am. Food comes fast. Only had take out. Always enough and prices are good. Tried to call in but they don't take call ins no more, so the lady said.

Waited 30 mins for food, it never came out. Had to cancel the order. Wasn't even notified or anything I was standing right outside. You can only call in your order btw.

So i had previously left a good review off the strength of having a good experience the first time and bad experience the 2nd time. On the 3rd time AND the 4th and very last time i will ever step foot in that ghetto restaurant I decided to change my review. Not only do they bring ur food out one by one (pancakes, eat those then they bring ur eggs, etc), the staff is unpredictable. They get mad when they make mistakes on ur order, they do not make accomodations when they mess ur food up; by the time we got ALL of our items, the food that we got first was cold as ice. It took the another 5-7 minutes to microwave one plate because they had an attitude we complained. They literally slapped a piece of cold cheese on my eggs which AGAIN they MICROWAVED, the syrup is in a aldi syrup bottle... Like there is SO MUCH wrong with this horribly managed restaraunt, i can go on and on but to save urself the time and the...

Somehow I have managed to go when they have shift change which is about 2:00 which means there is a wait of about 10mins before your order is taken. The food is good the place is clean, small with tables and booths. Very casual place. Maybe not for groups. Prices are reasonable not handicap friendly and you cant see the restaurant from a main street it located behind stores and there is a parking lot. I have heard the breakfast time is a better time to go for service and their breakfast food is good. I would visit again, I will just make sure its on...
