Was looking for a place that made home made corn tortillas. I found this in the menu so I ordered via grub hub .

I ordered carne en su jugo with homemade tortillas—two items clearly listed on the menu as authentic Mexican offerings. What I received was disappointing. The tortillas were generic and store-bought, and the soup contained shredded beef more suitable for an Italian beef sandwich than carne asada. This wasn’t just a substitution—it completely changed the identity of the dish. Do Mexicans actually cook this dish and it tastes like this ...I was shocked. I'm part Mexican so I know what a good carne en su hugo should taste like.

When I called to ask what happened, I was told they “ran out” of homemade tortillas. But I was never contacted, never given the option to cancel or approve a substitution. That’s unacceptable and bad business practice. The customer should always be listened to clearly and a resolution presented and solved on the spot.

It’s like ordering white shoes from Amazon and receiving cream ones instead—with no explanation until you ask, and then being told, “Oh, we ran out of white so we sent you the closet color to white we had lol 😂😂. This is absolutely unacceptable. Customers have the right receive what they order not given whatever is available. That kind of service breaks trust. If you’re offering specific regional dishes, accuracy and customer communication matter. I ordered in good faith based on your menu. What I received didn’t reflect it.

Grub hub should start taking the money back from these careless restaurants. This pattern of ordering I've experienced in grub hub is a systemic problem that grub hub...

I just CRIED!! I was never so disappointed in a restaurant as I was in this one. Big let down. I read all the reviews for this new place online, and people liked it. I waited for 3 weeks to go there to eat. I only go out now for really special occasions. Because prices are so high everywhere. The internet customers said this place was $10 to $20 per person, NOT!!! FAR MORE EXSPENSIVE THAN THAT! I'm so disappointed. More than the prices being through the roof, the way the food looks online is absolutely not the way they make the food. I'll keep it simple here. On line, my dinner had white sauce over it, this told me I would be able to eat it. When I opened my meal at home it was covered with super hot mole sauce. My son ordered the food in the place. I heard him telling them, 3 different times, in SPANISH, NO SPICEY FOOD FOR THIS ORDER ONLY, THEN HE TOLD THEM MY ORDER! Then he added their food. They totaled all of it together, $89.00. One of them had the chicken taco dinner and I really don't remember what my son's dinner was. The beans and rice, my favorite everywhere else, was horrible nasty at this place. Honestly, they were so salty we couldn't eat them. The rice had no flavor at all. BLAND. My daughter in laws ancestors are from Spain and Mexico. There is no pepper she hasn't eaten in her lifetime that she's aware of. She was drinking milk with her chicken meal, it was way to spicy for her to eat! My son felt terrible for me. I spent a weeks grocery money at this horrible OVER PRICED restaurant on really bad, poorly cooked food! I say go anywhere else to eat, avoid this...

We have been coming here for many years but will not be coming back anytime soon. This used to be our go-to Mexican restaurant in the neighbourhood until today. In fact, we are aware they recently added a black storm door thingy which is great to keep the cold breeze out in winter.

The food was still flavourful, but smaller, and prices higher including the rice milk. The chorizo was spread out to look like it was a lot; the chorizo was positioned to cover part of the chicken portion which is now a much smaller portion than it used to be. There was only one wedge of lime for all four tacos. I let it pass since we have been frequent customers.

Service-wise, they missed the small details like straw for the pop, knife and fork, and had to ask for the sauces — when it came, the bottles were served with the tips nasty. I had to wipe each of them myself with individual fresh paper napkins. If it were not for the checkbacks I wouldn’t have given 18% tip. But due to language barrier I really did not want to give immediate feedback.

It was my father’s birthday but we left disappointed with what could have been a great experience. For the same total price, we could have been somewhere else. I will no longer be recommending this place to friends and neighbours. Will have them go somewhere else, there are so many Mexican restaurants in this area we...

Food was great, prices are very reasonable and food amounts are very generous. I ordered the Carnes asada and Shrimp, Shrimp were delicious and most importantly cleaned. My dish had a very generous amount of carne asada which was very juicy and tender. As an appetizer we got the Queso Chorizo which was very delicious, chorizo was of good quality and not greasy. Atmosphere is great, lots of hand painted murals and benches. Even though the restaurant was packed the whole time we were there the servers were very attentive. Highly recommend!
