Short story: Arrived at 7:00 p.m. left at 8:45pm without eating. Long story: I've been coming to this place for years, so when my friends said they had a show in the area and wanted to eat before, I suggested this Agami. They Park their car at 6:54 and we all arrive at the restaurant at 7:00 p.m., 7:01 at the latest. We ordered drinks drinks and spicy beans to start. Our drinks all came separately one was missing and the one individual that ordered plain tea, got her drink last. The waitress never came back. She never asked us if we wanted another round of drinks, never came to refill our Waters, never checked on us at all. She did come to take our order, we all ordered our sushi at the same time about 30 minutes after we arrived. We waited and waited and waited we kept seeing other people that arrived after us receiving their meals before us. We flagged down the manager and we kept asking the waitress where our food was. Eventually the entree started coming out 20 minutes apart none of us ate at the same time and my friend that set up the entire evening never received her entree AT ALL. It was mortifying and embarrassing. Her concert started at 9:00 so she had to leave at 8:45 empty-handed. None of us ate at the same time and eventually around 9:00 p.m. her sushi roll came out, bagged up. We spoke to Sue the manager, and Sue only gave us 50% off of her roll only. It should've been free. I spoke with Sue after everyone left and she was very defensive. She said "we're busy tonight. what do you want me?" As if it was our fault that our evening was ruined. I stayed and finished my dinner by myself, as I was not going to the concert. No drinks or anything was ever offered or comped. Sue the manager, then insisted that we were not there at 7 pm. I asked her if they had video surveillance and she said yes, I asked her if we could watch it together and she said yes, but said she was too busy watch it tonight. She said 'once we watched the video prove that we were there at 7:00 p.m, she will make her Roll free.' Lol she was surprisingly rude and defensive. I'm highly disappointed in Agami and the service tonight. And doubling- down on the poor service made it worse. I'm not sure if I'm able to upload the picture but I also took a picture of my friend sitting there with an empty cocktail glass and no food at 8:41 p.m. after arriving at...
Read moreOur server, Malika, brought us the wrong roll and lied about it. The worst and most bizarre service experience i’ve ever had. My boyfriend and I ordered the Bulls Roll and when what was supposed to be that roll came out, my boyfriend asked our server if it was the Bulls roll. She confirmed it was. The roll that was brought out was black rice, soft shell crab tempura and was fried. I checked the menu after I had a piece and confirmed that the Bulls Roll had no tempura or crab and had completely different ingredients and was topped with shrimp. When our server came back, I asked her if the roll she brought to us was The Men In Back roll, which fit the discretion of what was brought to our table. She actually doubled down and again told us it was the Bulls Roll and that they had changed the ingredients of the item but hadn’t updated the menu. She stood there and continued to lie about why the roll was the correct roll. I was shocked. She then charged us in full and told us that she talked to the manager and that the next time we came in we would get a “credit” and that the rolls would be different next time. What? So we were just supposed to walk in next time and mention our credit to whoever? My boyfriend finally said that we should be refunded and she agreed right away. We looked at photos of the rolls online, and sure enough, she had lied to us. Unbelievable! I completely understand mistakes happen but you owe it to paying customers to be honest abs immediately correct your mistake. We were treated like we were stupid! So completely insane. I will...
Read moreI've lived in the area for a few years and decided to finally check the place out since there was a Groupon for it. Agami looked like it would be an expensive place, so I've always avoided it. The interior was really nice. I was actually surprised at how nice and spacious it was...it seems like a restaurant you'd find downtown. My dining partner and I were seated at a booth in front of the sushi bar and noise levels were at a minimum.
We ordered a shrimp shumai appetizer and 4 rolls. The shrimp shumai was decent, but 4 shumais for $7 is kind of ridiculous. You'll get better tasting ones for almost half the price at Furama. The sushi rolls were pretty good, but again on the pricey side...good thing we had that Groupon! What was a bit annoying was the amount of ginger and wasabi that came with the rolls, it seemed like they were there for decorative purposes. We asked for more and the waitress came back with generous portions.
Overall a good experience, but I'm still thinking if I would come back...
