This was my first time shopping at this store and I was racially profiled. The people working at the store pretended to be shoppers (when I asked them if they worked there and if I could get help finding some items, they lied and said they didn’t work there but I’d seen them helping the shop owners in the back). While they were pretending to shop, they kept looking at me and following me around the entire time that I was shopping. I’ve heard that maybe black people might experience staring at this store but I was greatly disappointed to be followed around as if I intended to steal. I won’t be coming back here. There are 2 Thai Stores located in Chicago & of course, this is one of the Original & long standing one. Been shopping here for over 30+ years w/the family. The employees/owners are very nice, helpful, & ensure that we find what we need. Store is well maintained & they carry a variety of Thai foods & merchandises. The best Asian store I've ever been to. They have such a wide selection of goods and it's still incredibly organized. There were many things I had not seen since my childhood in Thailand and saw nearly everything in here.
