As a local brunch enthusiast, I can say with confidence that there's nothing quite like starting my weekend off with a delicious, hearty meal at this restaurant. From the moment I step through the door, I'm greeted with the tantalizing aroma of fresh, made-to-order dishes that never fail to leave my taste buds in a state of pure bliss.
But perhaps the most iconic dish that this place is known for are the cinnamon rolls. I'm not exaggerating when I say that these are some of the best I've ever tasted - they're soft, gooey, and perfectly spiced with just the right amount of sweetness. Every time I come here, I make sure to grab one (or two) to take home with me.
The best part? The price is right - I never feel like I'm breaking the bank when I indulge in a meal here. Plus, the vibe is perfect for a lazy Sunday morning. The cozy, intimate atmosphere is the perfect backdrop for catching up with friends over mimosas or for enjoying a quiet solo meal.
Of course, with great food comes great popularity, so be prepared for crowds - especially during peak brunch hours. But honestly, it's worth it for the food and the overall experience. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're a local brunch aficionado or if you're just looking for a great meal to start your...
Read moreI may be a bit biased but I think Ann Sather has the best cinnamon rolls that have ever touched your tongue. You can choose them as one of the sides that are included with most of your breakfast meals or enjoy one with your lunch since it is already included with you meal. If you really want to take it a step further have the fantasy French toast made with two cinnamon rolls cut in half, dipped in French toast batter before being grilled a golden brown then add some mascarpone between the layers top that with granola, berries and a dusting of powdered sugar. After the first bite you'll know exactly why it has been recommended by Rachael Rae. Cinnamon rolls aren't the only thing with raving about, a great selection of omelets and breakfast wraps that can be customized if you choose or create your own. Try the Swedish sampler for a taste of Sweden on a plate right here in Chicago. You get Swedish pancake, meatball and potato sausage but that's not all, you also get an egg cooked any style and your choice of fresh fruit or hash browns. To many great options to list...
Read moreAnother great eatery in Chicago! We came for breakfast while on vacation and we are glad we did. We ordered cinnamon buns and biscuits with honey. The biscuits were flaky and on the bigger than normal side. The honey added a sweetness that was to die for! The cinnamon buns were big! And they were delicious: very bready and the icing was very sugary. I liked the buns better but that’s only because I’m more of a sweets person. We then ordered two eggs over easy and bacon and a three egg omelette with ham and no onions. When I asked for hash browns, the waitress told me that they came with onions however to my surprise, when she brought the food over, they had made the hash browns without the onions. Extra points!! Not sure if this is a chain or not but at least this particular location, service and food were good good good! Definitely a place one must go to have breakfast aT...
