Lilly's Bar — Restaurant in Lake View Township

A super unique old school bar but as much as I enjoy it, I can't give it 5 stars. The drink selection is terrible. You have your choice of 2 flavors of seltzers and one or two domestic beers, and few liquor bottles behind the bar that seem to have been there forever. No idea how this place is still open. We were there at 8:30 on a Friday night and were the only ones in the bar. The decor is cool (the floor is like a cobblestone street) but the seats were very uncomfortable. My little home bar is better stocked - there was maybe 15 bottles of alcohol behind the bar. Lilly's has a very particular ambience, but I absolutely love it. The building may be ancient but it's on the national registry of historic places, and it's got all these cool little nooks and crannies. Two floors, tons of (awesome) weird eclectic decor, great drinks, great music, great staff.
