Los Arcos — Restaurant in Lake View Township

I ordered nachos to go, sat patiently and waited all the while literally eyeing my food sitting on the counter (I didn’t know if it was mine or not so I didn’t say anything) the servers walked past it several times and didn’t attempt to see who it belonged to. 15 mins goes by and still nothing so I stand up and make my presence known at the register and that’s when the server finally brings the food to me. I ask them to remake it fresh because it’s been sitting for 15 mins and it’s a little unfair my food got cold/soggy because they were inattentive. The manager argues with me, telling me that the food was just taken out the kitchen and the time on the ticket is when it was sent to the kitchen (a lie because I LITERALLY watched the food sit for 10mins) At first she refused to remake it saying that “it was fine” while also being rude asking me to “read the time” as if I couldn’t tell time and didn’t know how long I’d been sitting. When I asked for a refund she said “no because I’m telling you there’s nothing wrong with it” (not a very customer service friendly statement) she finally decides to remake it like I asked, and tells me there will be a 5 min wait … (which is crazy because why was I waiting over 23 mins the first time but ok… ) and then I finally get the d*mn nachos and it’s missing ingredients 😭 the gap by the carrots contained one whole garlic clove… alongside ONE piece of jalapeño lmaooo. I’m just going to dispute the charge because there was no way I was speaking...

I stoped here when driving by. and I saw a sign advertising "Chile's Rellenos dinner $9.95. Paid city parking and went inside looking forward to a delicious and authentic Mexican meal. I ordered a fish taco dinner a side order of guacamole. And for my din I ordered a steak taco dinner. The service seems a tad slow. I noticed that the pick up orders were given priority. We received the steak taco dinner firt. The chips and salsa followed. The steak had been chopped intro small pieces after having been already cooked. It was beyond toigh, many times over cooked and tasted old. The chips tasted as if they were a week old. Stale, rancid, old. Then she brought my fish tacos. The fish had a combination of ammonia and decomposed fish smell. They tasted horribly inedible, and I didnt. The rice tasted like instant rice that had sat for days. The beans were a pasty, tasteless glop. Very unappealing to say the least. The side order of guacamole was about enough to cover two corn chips.at the most. They did not brings fresh chips with the guacamole, not that it mattered, the guac portion was miniscule and the chips were old. And they charged my visa card for a full order when I received a thimbal full and zero chips. Bad food bad service, difficult to park, waist of money....

Absolutely DONT order from here. This is my local spot and I used to LOVE it. Went here minimum once a week with my roommates. Recently, every single time I order from here, theres something extremely wrong. I never write bad reviews but man. I ordered 5 tacos and fries. Gave me the tacos, no fries. Asked for the fries. They hand them over. I go home and open it, the "fries" were a whole chicken/fish taco dinner. I mean its more than I ordered technically but I didnt want it. Called to give them a heads up like hey, you still gave me the wrong order and whoever put it the chicken order I got probably won't have their food now. Dude was acting slow on the phone, was just trying to give them some grace and he was acting like I was being a nuisance when they were the ones who made 2 mistakes on my order. I've worked in the industry and get its hard but bro, come on. I wasn't even asking for a refund or nothing, just for them to know someone's order is likely missing now. This isn't the first time something like this has happened.. I've waited 45+ minutes for an order i placed over the phone while the restaurant was empty. But I still order cuz I wanna support a local business. Over it!...
