Senn (Nicholas) Park Playground — Attraction in Lake View Township

This large playground is tucked away on a quiet side street and contains an area for younger children, an area for older children, and a gentle spray water feature. The area for smaller children includes toddler swings, a four person see-saw, a clubhouse, and a small play structure. The area for older children includes a much larger play structure with a long, curved tube slide. There is also a large climbing net, a spinning feature, and the standard set of swings. The water feature is on during the summer months and offers a gentle mist. The surface is soft rubber and there are few benches and grassy areas. Senn Park is a favorite for the kids and I. The water feature is small but very effective, my kids are always soaked. The two areas were a genius idea. The smaller toddler section has cute small slides that my 10 month old can handle, there are multiple baby swings, benches, grass area for pic-nics, room for soccer. The larger area is excellent with lots to climb and plenty of room for running. There are no bathrooms but the Whole Foods is close by and we go there for a quick snack or lunch after. Usually busy when there is nice weather, but they have merry go rounds, swings, slides, all sorts of climbing opportunities, monkey bars, and seesaw. Very nice park with area to eat picnic, play soccer or catch and play on...
