Roscoe Village Pub — Restaurant in Lake View Township

Probably one of the best bars in the city. Amazing bartenders. I asked for a double rum and diet in a tall glass. They misunderstood my behemoth request and when I talked about it not being quite right, they amicably gave me that drink for free and fulfilled my order. Just awesome. I didn't have to yell or scream, or really even ask. I was simply talking to my wife about it not being what I was hoping and Jamie the bartender said "oh we can do better sir" with a smile, filled up what I wanted, and said "the wrong ones on the house." Rarely tipped better in my life. They were already great, but that kinda customer service is amazing. Treat the people that handle your food, money, hair and alcohol well!! They will always surprise when you treat them...

my fave neighborhood pub. relaxed vibe, great patrons & amazing friendly bartenders. good music playing & jukebox whenever you want to hear something different. i try to be respectable toward fellow patrons when choosing (slayer on a sunday afternoon is probably not my best choice) 😜 ordering food at the bar is easy & opens up choices on meals. shuffleboard & foosball are available, along with sports on the tubes & occasionally jeopardy/wheel of fortune ❤ everyone is friendly & eventually everyone knows your name (and their always glad ...sheesh, i'm not singing the...

Walked on at 11:10pm was told as we walked in that we could only have 1 drink. Ok then. So we order a drink, put out $100 bill and the old grouchy bartender shouts (in front of 11 customers) "We Don't Take $100 Bills" that was un called for. That conversation was not to be heard by the whole entire bar. 2 ppl or 60 ppl. This is inexcusable. I don't think I will ever go back. Plus the web site said they close at 1 am.
