This is the perfect place for a cozy dinner with fresh food and great drinks. We tried cocktails, an appetizer, a main course for two and dessert because it was just all so good we had to keep trying more! We had a reservation and were seated promptly when we entered. After we were seated they started us off with complimentary chicken soup. It was so flavorful and delicious on a cold night, much appreciated! We then ordered the Claremont margaritas which had strawberries and a fresh flower garnish. They weren’t too sweet, which is just what we like. We then tried the guacamole, which at first glance might seem pricey at $14 but it also came with fresh spicy salsa, homemade pico de gallo, and warm chips. The guac was creamy and the pico was fresh and vibrant. We went big for our main course and ordered the tres carnes for two. It was presented in a hot lave bowl and came with a side of hot tortillas. Every protein was tender and delicious. We wish it had a couple more pieces of cheese, because the pieces we had were so yummy, but would 100% order it again. The shrimp was incredible. Definitely worth a try if you want to taste a bit of everything. And because we needed to try even more food, we topped our meal off with their churros which were served with ice cream and fresh whipped cream. We were impressed with everything and will definitely be back. We’d argue this is the best restaurant on Roscoe! We can not wait until their patio opens this summer.

Fun spot for a date night! We came a little late for our reservation but they called and confirmed we were still coming and saved our table, which we appreciated. We started out with two of their margaritas, which are all named after the nearby streets. Claremont and Hoyne were both great. We also have the queso fundido, which they serve with warm tortillas. The vegetarian one has peppers and mushrooms, which made for a delicious combination. For our main course, we got two tacos (Al pastor and shrimp) and the skirt steak plate. The tacos were solid and the skirt steak was perfectly cooked (asked for medium rare). It took a while for the main course to come out, but we weren’t in a rush so didn’t mind. We left feeling full and satisfied by the meal. It was pretty loud and packed inside the actual restaurant with a lot of people getting in the queue for a table. We are indoors but they also have a beautiful patio. Definitely a popular spot in the neighborhood, so if you can get a reservation, do it!

First time here, and the best part about this dining experience was the wait staff! They are super friendly and very attentive. Also really liked the outdoor seating. It was quiet and comfortable. I ordered a steak taco and a salmon taco. Honestly, not the best I've had as there was not a lot of flavor going on with either of them. The steak didn't seem to be seasoned at all. The salmon was okay and much better than the steak. I did love the taco shells and also the refried beans were very good! We also had the guacamole before our main entrees and it was phenomenal! All of our drinks that we had from the menu were amazing and I would definitely give this place a try again, I would just try some different dishes before I come back and review again.

I was hoping someone would call me from this restaurant like they promised. This place is AWFUL. We went on a Saturday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was not busy at all. The host seemed very irritated and rushed us to our seats. We sat outside. We were a party of 5. We were seated in a table for 3. I had to grab my own chair because our waiter was busy even though there were only 4 other tables seated in the patio. The waiter came 15 minutes later with chips. Again, I had to grab plates from another because no one seem to notice that we were a party of 5, seated at a table for 3. Another 10 minutes goes by before our waiter finally comes to take our order. He too seemed irrated. One of our guests asked him for a picture of our party before we began to which he yells at our friend" a picture of what?". I was embarrassed and upset at the way he spoke to our party. He then started to argue with the birthday girl about the service and he got very loud to which I asked him why he was yelling at his customers. That really upset him more. I told him we had been there for over 30 minutes with not enough chairs and not enough plates. He ignored me and remarked to his backwaiter in Spanish about what I was saying. As a fluent Spanish speaker I told him that he should apologize for his behavior and not ignore me while trying to confirm with the waitstaff if what I saying was indeed the truth. I pointed to the table that had no dishes because I took them for our table. He refused to send a manager. Then he lied and said the manager was on maternity leave. We decided to go to another Mexican restaurant. On our way out, the Irritated host took my information and told me someone would call. That was July 16th. Today is August first. I will NEVER go back to that restaurant and will be telling everyone on my social media never to patronize that...

I've been with my wife previously and she's been maybe 1-2 times with friends, each time the service was completely lacking but we gave them some grace because they were still under the 18-month mark. But, they're past the point of "figuring it out" and have earned some public scorn.

I tried calling twice to get an estimated patio wait-time but got the machine both times, and it's worth noting that they haven't even set up their voicemail properly, ya know, like a business. So, we left the dog at home because we also didn't get a chance to ask about dogs on the patio (nothing online) and headed their way. Shocker, the patio had a decent crowd but there were a few tables that just needed to get bussed, could've been room for all, but...no such luck. We popped into the inside area where another couple was waiting, maybe for a pickup but also maybe to try and, I dunno, spend their money? Didn't bother asking but a few glances were exchanged that led me to believe it was the latter of those two scenarios. In any case, they were understaffed (per usual, but not for the reasons conservatives would like you to believe), but the bartender still saw us, as did the runner/busser/bar-back (?), yet neither of them took the 5 seconds to say "hey folks, welcome in, we'll be with you in a sec!" So, it was with deep resignation that I met eyes with the dude running expo/the pass and let him know that, sadly, we were leaving (and taking our money with us). What a bummer, get a better GM or FOH manager, or just somebody who can finally make this place work. Until they do, however, they'll just be "that" place that my wife and I laugh about with Roscoe neighbors who've also been let down more than a couple of times. Fool me...

My bf and I have been wanting to check this place out for a year and finally went there last Friday night. I was excited and happy to be out and was looking forward to the treat of being waited on. It was busy, that's okay, we expected as much. It was a little chaotic to get our name in for a table on the patio, but we did, and we sat at the bar and ordered drinks while we waited. The host sat us within about 20 mins and we were sat on the patio. Another 20 mins goes by, no one has said anything to us. We had drinks from the bar in front of us, so I flagged someone down, and let them know that while we have drinks, they were from the bar, but we do not have a server and would very much like one so we can order more drinks and food. The gentleman that "helped" us was snotty with us, and I was just trying to assert our needs in the friendliest way possible. I see that it's busy, but I do not want to get lost in the chaos. While he was snotty, he did bring us some chips and salsa, and we sat for another 20 mins, no one ever came back. By the way- the salsa was terrible. But considering that was all I had, I can't rate the food otherwise. I flagged him down again and he was even more rude and condescending to me while I was just asking to please let a server know we're here. I was exasperated at that point and said we wanted to leave, and we did. I have no idea how so many people have enjoyed this place, maybe they went on a slow night. I will NEVER go back. They don't seem to care about their patrons as long as they look all instagram worthy with their lights and decor. I came here wanting to relax, eat, enjoy, and spend my money - and I left wildly...
