I’m not sure if Gil is a store manager or partner but they asked me if the scooter left along the outer wall was mine and after I told them yes, they let me know “you can’t have a scooter in the store, you need to move it,” visibly aggravated. I let them know I would. They told me again that it needs to be outside of the store, as if to say “now please.” I asked them if I could grab my drink (which was being made) and then leave, then they kind of threw their hands in the air and started walking away as if to say whatever that’s fine, then doubled back and said “the scooter cannot be in the store.” I said “okay” and went to grab it, glided it just outside the store door, only for my drink to be finished 20 seconds later. I wouldn’t have minded as much if Gil ASKED me to do it, to which I would’ve responded with the same question, and then said something like “actually it’s store policy, we can’t allow scooters in here. Sorry about that.” You know? They treated me like an agitated person trying to start a problem like I wasn’t the one approached that way? I get that Gil is probably talked to like that all the time as a barista and was maybe especially so that day, but there’s no reason to project that onto other customers who are happy to be compliant with a little kindness.
I really don’t have issues like that at this Starbucks, I’ve sat down in the store for a few hours with my scooter propped on the wall near me without issue (not that it excuses it if it’s against store policy), but I was not impressed with the...
Read moreI went this place for getting coffees this morning, and there’s a tall lady who is really mean and rude,I never met anybody acting like her. I ordered two coffees and I asked for a bag, there’s another customer out there as well,She was really nice, reminded me that I probably will need cover the top, since I was gonna ride my scooter . I don’t want to bother their workers,so I checked on the other side which is supposed to put sugar bag /covers/cup tray for customers,Unfortunately there’s none of it for customers,so I went back to the counter and wanted to grab 2 little covers, there’s no signs says customer can’t use it.And the most irritating thing happened to me today, the tall woman pushed my hands away and kind of acting like she is protecting those little covers from me, and she said customers can’t reach it themselves with her mean voice,I was shocked at the moment because I never met anybody treating others like this. I understand that during the Covid or perhaps they have their own policy, but at least they can leave a note on the cup,so we don’t feel confused, and got assaulted. I can’t believe that Starbucks allows their worker acting like that.At the end ,I wanna appreciate the lady customer and the worker who was packing stuff back in their counter helped me,made me...
Read moreUPDATE: I was in this afternoon (12/22/23) and was treated very rudely by the barista at the bar. I went ask for a refill of water. Rather than offer a new cup the barista made a face and took a measuring cup and told me to put the used cup in it. He then filled the cup with water.
He was wearing a mask and rude. Apparently I was full of Covid or some other virus. He seemed very annoyed that I asked for water. I spent close to twenty dollars on drinks, so I was paying customer. What's the problem. He treated me like I was homeless or disturbing other patrons. Me and my friend had gone there to read quietly.
I really didn't like how he (tall, thin, African American) treated me. Is this some new policy. Usually the baristas at other locations have no problem touching the outside of my cups for a refill. After all, he touched my cup and I didn't worry about germs. Unbelievable!
The other baristas were nice. But I won't be going back. There are other cafes I can spend my money at.
Clean. A cheerful and friendly staff makes this Starbucks a good place to read a book and...
