Hi hello, how are you back again with another restaurant and another review szechuan corner I’ve ben working next to these guys as neighborsthe a cross the street of Ashland Diversy for like almost 5 years never ever visited that Chinese restaurant until one rider came with me as an Uber rider and she told me that the best Chinese food is szechuan The food looks amazing. Awesome taste more than delicious. the lamb is a go to tender melt in the mouth. The chicken is good bit dry, but I really do have something to say to the owner. If he or she reading this review number one please train that beautiful girl on the casher bit more training let her gain more confident but she did a good job taking my order. She missed it a little bit, but it’s OK I understand and she did really good job taking the order of the lady after me and also please I am not a carb eater I don’t eat rice and I specifically says I don’t want rice because I’m gonna throw it away and this is God‘s grace. We can’t throw it away so I’m gonna eat it in different times so could you please next time take care of the order the soup is delicious. I ordered it with the egg. Read moreCute little place that's been open about 8 months, so the small dining area is very stark. HOWEVER, the owner is a very sweet young guy. When my mom, 84, asked if they gave a senior discount, he said "well we don't, " paused for a moment and then said, "but I can give you a 10% discount." So very nice.
Okay, now for the food. YUMMY!!! My mom had cashew chicken that has tons of cashews and lots of nice veggies with a very tasty brown sauce. I had orange chicken that had a one pepper rating for spiciness. WOOO it was 'make my face pink and sweat a little" spicy! 2 pepper icons would be too much for me!
It was the lunch special so it came with white rice and a choice of a crab rangoon or a spring roll and choice of egg drop soup or hot and sour soup. Mom said the crab rangoon was tasty, and the spring roll was packed with veggies and cripsy without being greasy. I had the egg drop soup and mom got a soda in place of the soup, which was an offer from the owner.
Very nice portions, we both had enough for another meal. Definitely would...
Read moreI ordered the spicy garlic chicken entrée. Instead, I was presented with the garlic pepper chicken. The employee working there tried to convince me that the entrées are the same however, one has a large amount of pepper and the other does not. Also, the correct order would have bamboo shoots in addition to red peppers and mushrooms. The incorrect entrée has mostly just lots of onions without any other vegetables.
This is obviously not what I wanted. The employee offered to make me a new entrée however it would take 15 to 20 minutes. I was not offered any compensation or refund for the incorrect order and I am not pleased. Don’t call me a snob, as I shouldn’t have to wait 15 to 20 minutes extra just because you clearly got the order wrong.
Side note: I ordered chicken fried rice as well. I would grade the quality above-average. As far as the black pepper garlic chicken goes, if you don’t like gobs of pepper on each piece of chicken, do not order it. It was not...
