Tutto Fresco — Restaurant in Lake View Township

Horrible horrible HORRIBLE experience. Completely ruined my Friday night. We had reservations for 6:15 pm and arrived five minutes late. We were seated at 6:20. No one came by to take any kind of order (including just drinks) until 6:45, and only after we asked what was going on. No apology or explanation.

I should also mention we had my two year old with me, so starting to get worried about getting food for her. We asked that her food at least come out first given how long it had taken to just get someone to take our order. Our food did not come out for another 25 minutes, again after repeatedly trying to flag someone down to get an update. No one had stopped by to fresh water or anything like that.

When the food finally did come out, it was so bad. We would have been better off making Kraft mac and cheese at home. Pasta from a box with a watery sauce. Just from start to finish the whole experience was horrible. And their attitude about it was even worse - zero level of interest in trying to improve our experience. Went there on Friday night with my daughter and two year old granddaughter. Place is cute and at first I though it was going to be a good night with great Italian good.. oh boy, was I wrong! The night was disaster!.. it took 45 minutes to get a waiter who semi apologized but did not asked if we wanted something to drink but took the order and left. It took another 30-40 minutes to get the food. Pasta was HORRIBLE!.. line it came from a supermarket box. In the mean time a family with some kids showed up snd within 15 min they brought the appetizer and bottle of wine. Of course I did not left any tips since to me I was invisible to them snd service was horrible. If the good reviews here are not fake I was we were not welcome there because we were two Hispanic women?.. My wife and I were visiting family who live down the street from Tutto and they brought us here for dinner our last night. It was one of their favorite neighborhood restaurants and after eating here I could see why. The atmosphere was really great, made you feel like you were sitting inside an old school Italian joint. We sat outside on their patio, which was covered except for a short portion near the street, and the vibe was fantastic. The service itself was something to be desired but the food made up for the service lacking. I ordered the Pollo Vesuvio and it was insanely delicious. The flavors were all great and everything that came with the meal paired very well with each other. Everyone else’s order looked phenomenal as well. We can’t wait to visit again so we can come here for dinner one of the nights...
