Jimmy's Big Burger Lake Worth — Restaurant in Lake Worth

Edit 1-06-24 went to Jimmy's today looking forward to enjoying our favorite burger and was shocked and saddened to learn it's owned by someone else. Alba and her family really made that place special. No longer will you be greeted by her sweet smile and great customer service. The new folks are hiring cooks, cashiers and all new employees but we were told the kitchen staff is still the same....how can that be when it was a family owned business and Alba's husband and Son worked in the kitchen? Hopefully the food will remain exceptional, today we didnt stay. Time will tell. We will watch the reviews to see as it may take us a bit to want to go back as we will miss Alba so much.

The review that starts here was from when Alba and her family were the owners; Favorite burgers and fries ever! Everything cooked to order, comes out hot and wonderful. Meat is fresh, not pre-made frozen patties. Fries are hand-cut and seasoned well not smothered in salt. Menu is quite extensive with many different types of burgers, as well as salads, chicken sandwiches, appetizers, and children's menu. We had burgers from Jimmy's for the 5th time tonight for dinner. Take out only. They have been consistently excellent in taste, size and portions. Our go to place had been Fred's on Western Center for a long time as we rented an apartment right by them. We used to really like the burgers and food there but for the last few visits it has not only gone down hill taste wise but portions as well. Jimmy's burgers are quite large and very good. We are very happy to have discovered Jimmy's and they will continue to be our go to burger place.

This is the second time we placed an order for a specific burger and told them NO Vegetables on either of our burgers. Get them home and they have lettuce pickles tomato and onions on both of them. The quality has gone down considerably as well. The ground meat used to be so tasty and juicy and the last couple of times it was dry and honestly tasted like it could have been from walmart. We will continue to try and find a good burger near us but as of tonights experience are done with...

It was ok, typical burger joint. They had some wild concoctions for people to order. What got me was the owner didn't want to allow my 72-year-old mother to order the quarter-pound kid's meal burger. Said it was for kids only. I replied, "Well then, do you have a senior menu? Because she can't eat a 1 /2 pound burger!" She relented and said she'd only do it for her and not me or my sister.

My issue is, who freaking cares who's eating it as long as they pay for it! People should be able to order whatever meal they want! Not everyone wants to eat a 1/2 pound burger! Or maybe they can't afford to order the big burger! Also, I know couples who share their meal, including the drink. Not at this place! You're not allowed to even share drinks, much less a burger!

First time going, won't be back! No love lost between owner and myself either! And if people could order what they wanted, then maybe they'd be a bit busier than they were, which was practically...
