This place is outdated. We booked our trip using 3rd party website and found that the Suite was nothing as we expected. As soon as we entered the door, we felt like we had entered a bar. The smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. My eyes were hurting, and the exposure we had endured was too much after trying to spend the night at this place. My family and I tried to make our mini-vacation the best we could, but La Quinta had started our trip in the wrong direction. Also, for some strange reason, we were receiving calls throughout the night, and after the sixth time that my wife and kids picked up the phone and no one was answering, I talked to the attendant and found that the best solution was to unplug the line. This was a scary situation, especially when I was new to the place and my kids were with me. Now, as for the room, so if the cigarette smoke doesn't bother you, the shelves are broken, and the microwave is outdated. It doesn't function well, the bathroom sink was clogged after its first use, the room needs to be repaired, and when we tried to use the pullout sofa bed, we found, much to our dismay, that it too was broken, the springs which attach the frame to the cot were not all there. So, we used the sofa cushions to prop the cot up and had one of our kids sleep on it. As for the staff, the night manager, James, was accommodating throughout the process. I want to point out that the staff here, from the attendant serving breakfast to the individuals behind the front lobby desk, were accommodating throughout the process. I could tell that they tried to accommodate us as much as possible, especially when we had requested a new room.
I am discouraged from booking another room with La Quinta Inn. We had talked to the manager about refunding some of our money when we had to move from one room to another; they had agreed to do so; we are still waiting to see if they go through with their promise. My wife and I were amazed that La Quinta, a relatively big company, was such a disappointment. La Quinta Inn, revive your brand at the Fort...
Read moreI stayed at the La Quinta on the night of Oct 9, 2022. I specifically requested a suite because I had myself, my boyfriend and my teenaged son staying with me as well. My son would be using the fold out couch in the living area of the room. We were in Ft. Worth to attend a wedding that started at 4:30 so I asked for an early check in of 1:00 for which I was charged an additional $50. Almost half the price of the room. I also indicated on my reservation that my 17 year old son would be using the fold out couch. There were no linens or pillows for the fold out bed to be found in the room. When I inquired at the desk for linens and pillows, the front desk person first said they didn’t have any extras but was able to find some sheets and a blanket. But, there were no more pillows. The pillows on the king sized bed were less than standard size and were old and barely adequate. I ended up giving him one of the pillows from the king bed. The room while sizable was dirty. In fact, the whole hotel had a dirty appearance throughout. The windows were dirty, the doors were covered in dirty fingerprints, the carpets were all stained and smelled bad. The bathroom in our room was not clean at all. The showers has grime that makes it obvious that it had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. There is a fan over the toilet but there is no switch to turn it on. HOT WATER? Nope. No hot water. To shower, it was a quick in and out as that is all I could bear of the cold water. POOP ON THE TOILET. Yes, I said poop. On the front of the toilet. When I informed the front desk of all these issues, I was only refunded the $50 early check in fee. Save your money and book somewhere else. There are several hotels within sight of this one. If I can figure out how to add a photo, I’ll put the picture of the...
Read moreWe booked this hotel last minute for some personal errands we had to run out of town. The reviews seemed promising, but I will never stay here again. The AC did not cool the room at all in the king room. It was so hot all night, but because the bed is so far from the ac it was even hotter sleeping. The sheets also had various stains and hair on it, which is a bit gross. The front desk girl also gave out private information of one guest to another, which we found VERY strange and VERY concerning. While she was very nice, I don’t think personal information of guests should be given out to other guests, it seems like a huge privacy and safety violation. Lastly, we did notify the hotel we would be doing late check out, however the cleaning crew started knocking on our door early in the morning. We informed them we wouldn’t be leaving until late check out at noon, and put the do not disturb sign up, but they continued to come back, and each time we had to restate that we were not planning on checking out until noon. Then, as we are getting ready, management comes and knocks at our door and says housekeeping said our room smells like marijuana. We stated several times we did not smoke in our room, we have never smoked in a hotel room, and that there was no proof of us smoking. The management did not seem to believe us. Absolutely ridiculous. Told us this isn’t their first time dealing with it, they walked our room, but found nothing. They had absolutely no proof other than a disgruntled room maid. Will not be staying here again if the housekeeping is going to tattle on us when we get annoyed that they...
