Smoothie King — Restaurant in Lake Worth

Editing my original review after going here a few more times. The cleanliness behind the bar,particularly where all those add in powders are, could be improved. You can tell the associates are still getting their bearings, and have some trouble working around each other in a kitchen. It really seems like they need a good leader in the store. I never see any kind of manager there and it shows. Not sure if they have one, or if they only work M-F 8-5, a good leader should be available when and where their people need them, on the busiest and most important shifts, not just the most desirable ones. Other than that, the staff is friendly, and have upped thier game for smoothie quality and customer service. I will re evaluate and re review with time and as service hopefully improves and standards improve.

My original review is below: I get great service from most every smoothie king I go to. I ordered ahead here and downloaded the app because this smoothie king is in a great location for me to go to consistently, but I don't think I will.... my smoothie wasn't even filled up close to the top. It wasn't cold, and the lady's in there didn't even know what my order was when I came to pick it up, and they didn't have my name on the cup. There was one girl working when I came in. She seemed to be new. Waited on counter for someone to come take the order. She finally came took my order while I heard others in the back laughing and talking. A guy who seemed to have just gotten off work from somewhere else walked in and went straight to the back. They Had all add ons on a rolling cart. After she took my order she went back to making fruit bowls and toast. Everyone else remained in the back. I waited and I went outside to check on my kid. It took so long that I brought him inside. My smoothie hadn't even been started. A girl came from the back and took an order and then finally began my order. I thought maybe they were closing. Had someone not working behind the counter. Not sure what they even put in my smoothie She rearrange the add ons after she added to my smoothie. Like she was confused exactly what she added. He had to move rolling rack to get from behind counter She took the smoothie off the machine and went back to add on rolling rack and added something else to my smoothie. Want to applaud the young dark haired lady employee behind the counter today 3/30/2023 at 1:15pm(I didn’t catch her name). She was confronted by a hostile customer about a situation she had no control over. The customer was rude, dirogitory, and belittling about something the employee wouldn’t be aware of unless the customer made it known beforehand. After the customer told the employee how to do their job and what the business practice standards should be, this young lady simply said “I’m sorry for the confusion, let me fix it right away.” No argument, no attitude, no dirty look. I hope the DM and store manager see this review. She did an amazing job after being treated with the amount of disrespect she was given.
