So I go there to eat with mom and I have copper with me my service dog. I didn’t even get done ordering and the manager comes around the front of the counter and asked me if he’s a service dog and I said yes and he asked me if I had his service dog ID and if not I needed to leave. I informed him there’s no such thing as a service dog ID and I told him that and then he told me that copper needed to be wearing a vest or something signifying that he was indeed a service dog. And I tried to inform him that the law is service dogs do not have to be marked in anyway that is visible to any other person and legally he can only ask me to questions which are 1. Is that a service dog? And 2. What times does he or she perform? And that you can only ask us to leave if my service dog is being unruly, loud or touching other customers, bothering other customers etc. My service animal was under complete control and not bothering anyone or anything, he was doing exactly what he was supposed to do. But the manager was rude and refused to even listened to me, he walked back behind the counter and disappeared. So taco casa it’d be a good idea to inform your employees and especially your managers about service animals and the Americans with disabilities act because you can be sued over this and someone will if someone less tolerable then I comes into your establishment. “When it is not obvious what service an animal provides, only limited inquiries are allowed. Staff may ask two questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. Staff cannot ask about the person’s disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task.” “ • A person with a disability cannot be asked to remove his service animal from the premises unless: (1) the dog is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it or (2) the dog is not housebroken. When there is a legitimate reason to ask that a service animal be removed, staff must offer the person with the disability the opportunity to obtain goods or services without the animal’s presence.” “Establishments that sell or prepare food must allow service animals in public areas even if state or local health codes prohibit animals on...
Read moreIt's Taco Casa... It gets 5 stars! I usually always only order a chilada or a regular tostada, because they pile on the toppings for their tostadas and filling for the chilada, so that's plenty to fill me up. But every once in a blue moon, you'll get your order and it'll be a one-offer, meaning it just isn't up to your expectations. But only because they set the standard high to begin with. This visit's chilada was spot on, and I'm glad it was, because the tostada left much to be desired, I'm afraid. The beans were smeared on half the shell, and the lettuce and cheese was so scarce I thought I was eating bean and chip nachos. Seriously. I could've gotten a much more appealing one from that other taco place @the border. And the kicker, which I just laughed and smh, was that they still used two shells! 😅 Which, is normal for the way they're normally made. So, yeah, they fell short this time. But, I'll be back. I know it's not a regular reoccurring thing. The restaurant is usually always clean, restrooms clean, stocked up on plastic ware, napkins, and what-not. The staff is always top notch, with big smiles and welcoming "hello"'s as you enter. Service is usually pretty quick inside, but can be a few minutes longer considering the crowd they have, and the drive through is usually always busy, but very efficient in getting you through in a timely manner.* *Evening & night time drive thru times can and usually are...
Read moreI have been to this location and have always ordered through the drive thru. Today was no different and as usual I asked for hot sauce. Before I left I checked my order and saw there was no hot sauce. So I parked and went inside. I told a gentleman at the counter that I was just at the drive thru and did not receive any hot sauce. He proceeded to get some for me and as he walked back to me he was stopped by another employee. A heavy set woman which I can assume was a manager proceeded to tell him there was hot sauce in the lobby. The gentleman looked confused and she stated the same thing again. There’s hot sauce in the lobby. She obviously was implying I could get it myself which was extremely rude given that the gentleman already had the hot sauce in hand and it was their mistake. If I had know there was some located in the lobby I would’ve never bothered the employee. People make mistakes but in food service it’s how you respond and rectify the mistake that dictates continued business. This was a clear sign that the manager knew nothing of customer service. The worst part of it was that the employee had already grabbed the hot sauce for me. The woman did not have to say anything let alone in front of a customer. This experience was very disappointing and I hope she receives additional training in...
