Atwoods — Local services in Fort Worth

This was my first time to go to Atwoods after some other friends had recommended the place for buying dog food. I did not realize they had so many other items as well. I am legally blind and asked for help and the help was top-notch, friendly, and very knowledgeable help! Even the cashier who wasn't aware of my situation was extremely fast and friendly. And the dogs seem to love the Diamond brand dog food also :-) $25 for a 50 lb bag for high-energy dogs is a great price.

UPDATE: 2022/04/30 I was very unhappy today when going to buy dog food. The price has shot through the roof. The dog food that I normally get was not there once again and the other dog food that normally costs about $23 was now $40. That is almost double what it has been and should be. Being legally blind, I had a guy that worked at the business help me out looking for the dog food I haven't been able to find at Atwoods lately. He was very friendly and very helpful. He did a great job. But when I went to check out with what I finally decided to buy, the girl at the cash register should have been at home. She was too busy talking to a co-worker to help me. Not counting the return cashier, she was too cashiers behind her. I told her I could not see very well and she just kept on talking to her friend and ignoring me. So I just stood there looking at her until she decided she could take a break and ask me if I needed something. I explained to her again I could not see what was on the credit card reader and she just reached over and pushed a button. I don't know what she pushed but she went back to talking to her friend again and another question had popped up or decision that I had to make. It was very irritating because she was just ignoring me and anybody behind me and not paying attention to any customers or her job. She almost seemed irritated that she had to break from talking to the other employee and do something. If I were the boss, I might give her one more chance but if she continued that kind of "work" I'd let her go. She wasn't working, she was socializing and she wanted everybody to wait until she was done. Not cool! It actually makes me want to lower my rating for Atwoods by one star. But since this is just one employee I'm not going to do that yet. It was about 2:00 p.m. when I was at the register she was working at. Actually I just magnified my receipt and it was 204 p.m. I hope somebody up there sees this and has a talk with her. Please excuse any errors because this was written by me speaking into Google...

Listed prices don't match what rings up at register... We came in for a 4' gate, solar electric fence kit and mud boots. While there we decided let's grab dog food, but they don't carry Nutro, ok no big deal... Boots well if your a female looking for plan Jane mud boots don't waste your time, all they have is men's sizes 9 and up. I mean you can get really cute ones for triple the price... So over to the electric fence we go. We find the solar panel and battery, grab the plastic pipe clamps and wire that is sitting over the $14.99 price tag and head to the register. Get everything rang up and the aluminium wire rings up at $44.99 so the cashier pulls up the local add and finds one just a different brand for $19.99 with 22 in stock, we go back to swap it out and can't find it. While my husband goes to get the gate from the back I find a worker to help me look for the wire. We can't find it so he calls another guy, nope can't find it either. Another gentleman who got the gate for us in the back comes out and helps look as well. Nope can't find it. We take the other wire back to the front to see if they will honor the sale price of the other one since they don't have it. After another 20 min of waiting for someone who has authority to make a d escision they bring up steel wire and tell us this is the one on sale however it is not the same brand as the one in the add either... Oh and I forgot to mention the wire that rang up for $44.99 was in the wrong spot and was actually on sale for $34.99 but rand up wrong as did the gate, which rang up for $10 more as well. Finally a manager walks in and says no we can't honor that aluminum wire for the add price since it's not the same brand. So after 45 min of errors that this store was not willing to fix we walked out of this store and they lost a $200 purchase over $25. We will stick to tractor supply from now on for all our farm needs!! Oh even better after I wrote this review the cashier gets on Google and gives a 5 star rating of her store with no comments. I gave them one start because I can’t put zero, I bought a trailer at this location, when they type in the information in their system they messed up, I had to come back two more times to get a temporary plates after that I told them enough of temporary plate , they send me a regular plate with another vin number, I didn’t know that was important at that point I just wanted my plate. When I sold my trailer the new owner tried to register under his name but the trailer was reported stolen and police took it from him , I gave him his money back , I was embarrassed and it was not his fault.When I went to the store manager never was there because you have to explain everything at the register in order to see Mr. President of the Atwood store Fort Worth location, never got in touch with him, assistant manager was awful when she told me that manager is not there at the moment I asked when ? She reply I don’t know maybe he never comes back and I asked for the corporation phone number and she reply in a very rude way is in google look for it. After all this I had to wait for the police to do their job and try to explain everything to someone in the Oklahoma corporation office but took weeks to finally get an answer from them. Today is 01/11/2025 and I haven’t get back my trailer or my money and these people is not even trying to help me . Even when the result of the investigation from the Police was that the trailer is mine. Detective send them the investigation.Everything started in the beginning of 09/2024, is just so rude and disgusting the way they ignored me and I am not receiving any response.
