J. Burns' Pizza Shop — Restaurant in Lakeland

Many years ago it was a great little pizza place. I ate here recently for the first time to see if it was anything like the original. It DEFINITELY WAS NOT! I placed a call in order and the person read my order back correctly but, when I got there, my order was wrong, my pizza set there getting cold while they had to remake my sub. The garlic knots were dinner rolls and you couldn't even taste garlic on them at all. My sub had so much romaine lettuce on it, I could have made a salad out of it for two people. Wasn't to thrilled with the cold pizza either! So, I decided to give them another try. It was another call in order and just like the first time, they read the order back to me correctly. Get there and have to wait, once again my pizza sits and gets cold. This time I ordered a large salad(it was the size of a small side salad you get with a meal). My sub from my first experience had more lettuce then this LARGE salad. It was seriously a joke. There were maybe 3 slices of black olives and hardly any meat in it, plus they gave me the wrong salad dressing(the manager was the one who took my order too). Called and talked to the manager and his excuse was they had a party of 50, which that is NO excuse whatsoever because there was no one in the resturant when I picked up(the dining area was filthy). Both times picking up my orders from here the staff acted like none of them wanted to be there and wasn't enjoying their jobs. They say third times a charm, well no third time for me and my family. I will be making homemade pizza at home, taste better and it's not a hassle to get what you want right, less expensive also. I recently had the pleasure of dining at J Burns Pizza in Lakeland, Florida, and I cannot say enough about how incredible the experience was. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service.

First and foremost, the pizza was out of this world! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully soft on the inside, just the way I like it. Pizza Hunt 2021 Spun the pizza wheel and ended up at J Burns Pizza. I find it a bit confusing when walking into a restaurant with tables and you don't know if you should just sit down or walk up to the counter. First time here so walked up to the counter like a newbie had to ask do i order here or just sit down. Ordered up some pizzas and Wings.

Had those little 7 inch pizzas so i could have a good one. Mrs. Picky is all meats all the time. I like veggies on my pizza. Pizza comes out nice and quick. I kinda like that the chicken is put through the pizza oven rather then dropped in a fryer. Wife said she didn't care for the hot sauce , I liked it. Hay that is why she's Mrs. Picky.

Pizza came out looks great. And of course wife say mine looks like it has more cheese, lol. In her world cheese is a food group that must be eaten in large quantities. Think her cheese was hidden under the meat mountain on her pizza.
