I ordered the chicken spanikopita. I have had spanikopita all over the world. Spanikopita literally translated from Greek means spinach pie. If you've ever eaten spanikopita you know that one of the best parts is the filo dough, the flaky pastry puff or "pie", in spinach pie. When I heard that their variation had chicken I was intrigued. It sounded like a fantastic combination of flaky pastry, spinach feta filling and chicken, but what I got was a piece of chicken on top of a bed of fresh spinach leaves and mozzarella cheese. I thought they had brought me the wrong dish. This dish was not only disappointing but confusing as well. My wife went and re read the menu and assured me that what I had gotten was in fact what their description of spanikopita was. Shame on me for not reading the menu description, but I've had this dish hundreds of times at many different restaurants. It would be the equivalent of walking into a pizzeria, ordering a pepperoni pizza without looking at the menu, and getting some cheese and pepperoni on a plate. Even if the menu said that, you would still be caught off guard. Anyway, my wife enjoyed her salad, and I had been there once previously, and enjoyed the herb chicken (which I was oddly informed at 12pm, the start of the lunch rush, that there was only one order of the herb chicken available and I wasn't going to eat the only one, it seemed strange). The name of the dish is misleading I ended up leaving the whole plate, but I was too embarrassed to say anything because it was what was described. I prefer Little Greek to this place by far. The food has more flavor. Even the one bite I took of the chicken was...
Read moreMyself and 2 coworkers went in this past Friday night for dinner, we had a busy and stressful week, being the first week of school, we were also on a field trip. We are bus drivers. It had been a long week and long day, so we wanted to sit down to eat, in the air while we waited to go back and pick the kids up. My ticket says I ordered at 7:45, the second coworker ordered after I did and the 3rd one ordered about 10 minutes later because she had to run to the restroom. I told the young lady that waited on us that I had never been there before and never had Greek food before either. I ordered soup and salad. I'm not sure what my other coworkers ordered. It took about 5 minutes to get my salad, I had to go up and get my soup, then my coworkers got their food. Around 820, the manager came over and said I'm not trying to be rude but you are guys are going to have to leave, we closed at 8 and the staff wants to go home. I would have never thought they would close on a Friday night at 8 pm. We had to ask for to go containers, my soup spilled over in my bag, my salad spilled and my bread was soaked. My bill was 22 dollars. I got home around 1130 that night so the next day my salad that I could save, was soggy because of the potato salad being in it. They should have told us they were closing and we probably would have went somewhere else so we didn't have to sit out in a hot bus and there's nowhere to put food. So I waisted my money. This problem would have been solved if they would have told us when we walked in. Why would you let us order, tip you, then ask us to leave 20 minutes later. So disappointed especially after the...
Read moreFirst, I want to start by saying I absolutely love this restaurant. I have never had an issue with anything that I have gotten here for the past 4 yrs …. I had been at the beach all day and was dropping my granddaughter off to her mother and the parking lot like we always do and I decided to run in and grab a quick bowl of the chicken soup because I wanted something small… I decided to get the bowl. When I got home and I took off the lid, there was hardly anything in the bowl of soup that cost 7.00. Like I said, I don’t usually have an issue and I don’t usually complain. I’m not sure if it was because they were closing soon, but I just think seven dollars for a cup of broth with two pieces of chicken in it and a few pieces of orzo. Hi, guess I would rather have had them be honest with me if there wasn’t much soup left to just tell me that instead of having me pay seven dollars for that and then I got a side of Peter bread to go with it because I didn’t realize it came with two slices of bread so $13 for a bowl of broth just seems a little ridiculous. I guess next time if it’s close to closing, I will just not get anything. .i have pictures but do not see a...
