I visit a McDonald's restaurant roughly once every other week. I had not been to this location since the renovation and the facility looks very nice. I drove up to the drive-thru microphone and made my order. I went up to the first window as instructed to pay and then drove up to the next window to pick up my order. I was asked politely to pull into the drive-thru wait area because my 4 piece chicken McNuggets were going to take a moment longer. I was the only one that was waiting in one of those slots when I pulled up. Two other vehicles had pulled up from the drive-through while I was waiting. These two other vehicles had got their order and was able to leave before I was. I started to think that I was forgotten and was going to walk into the restaurant. 3 minutes after the last vehicle left from that parking area a young lady with orange hair came out to my car to give me my meal. It was raining and I wasn't going to ask that she wait there for me to check in the bag to make sure that everything was there like I normally do. But, it was a good thing that I didn't ask for anything else from her because that was about the time her friend rolled up in her vehicle, yelled out her name, and at that point completely ignored me and ran over to her friend's vehicle. I get it, you have a friend visiting you at work, but you're also in the middle of assisting a customer and should at least acknowledge the customer in one form or another as you are leaving with perhaps something like "have a good night". a smile and greeting coming up to the vehicle to give me my food would not have hurt either. Sure enough, I look in the bag and not only are my French fries cold because it took them a while to get them out there to me but they did not include the sauce in there that my mom asked for for her four piece chicken McNuggets. My mother said that she would just walk in there and ask for the sauce. So, my mother gets out in the pouring rain to go into the restaurant to get one simple package of honey mustard sauce to go with her four piece chicken McNuggets. She walks up to the counter, and is not greeted by anyone for a full three minutes. She said there were three people that could see her as plain as day and just simply ignored her. I asked her if they were just busy working and couldn't get to her right at that moment and she told me that they were back there talking and laughing. I am all for having fun on the job but when I've got a customer waiting for me, I'm out there serving the customer. That is what I am paid to do. Finally one of the people went up to the counter to see what my mother needed and it happened to be the young lady that brought the food out to us in the first place. There wasn't even an apology or anyting the young girl just grabbed a package of sauce and handed it to my mother. I work for a public agency in customer service and have done so for about 11 years. Before that I had been in customer service for most of my professional life. It didn't matter whether I was washing dishes or helping customers obtain special documents, I always gave my best at my job and continue to show how serious I was and how much pride I took in my work throughout my professional life. If you cannot manage to show some pride in your work and at least meet the standards of your job duties, then you should not be doing the job. I am not usually the one making out these kinds of reviews but there was a clear lack of respect to both the customer and the job that was expected to be performed and this experience inspired me to share. Thank you...
Read moreI buy breakfast at Lakeport Mc Donald’s almost everyday. The service and turnout of my order had been decent for quite some time. However the last 3 times I have been through their drivethru my order has been wrong, cold, or short. I was not saying anything because I understand that mistakes happen but they have messed up my order three times in a row and I need to speak out now. I went back today because they shorted me a milk yesterday but since I had to get to work, I didn’t have time to drive back to get it. I went back this morning, delt with the same employee and was treated in a very rude manner and my claim was rejected. Seriously??? They just lost my business over a $1.00 milk? So I am sharing this so you make sure everything on your order is correct before you leave their premises. They are like a car dealer, once you drive off the lot you are on your own. The rude employee is a short, chubby, light skinned Latina with blue eyes, and curly black hair. If I was McDondalds I would teach my employees people skills. (And check their citizenship) 🙂 because people like this acting rude should stay out of our face and out of...
Read moreI only go there when I have no other option. One time, I went through drive-in with my son. When I got up to order lunch, they said they had no carbonated beverages. I had people behind me so I went ahead and ordered anyway. I got charged more money for other drinks with our value meals. They were making money off people that day. They should have had a sign by the drive-thru saying they didn't have carbonated beverages. The food is 99 percent of the time Luke warm. One time, I was pulling away from drive-thru and there were no napkins, I stopped and walked up to window while someone was waiting for their food and had to ask for napkins. Another time fries were cold. Drive-thru again. I asked for hot fries. They made me drive out of the line and wait. When I got the new fries the hot fries were mixed in with cold fries. Another time, I ordered drive-thru again, the young woman checked my bag to make sure everything was there. Drove off and discovered on my way home she gave me no napkins. Their customer service is horrible. I'll drive 5 miles further to go to...
