I would NOT recommend. Family of 5 spent approx. $130 and three-quarters of the food ended up in the trash. PROS: Fried tilapia and croaker were both outstanding, very good egusi goat soup. great bottled drink selection. CONS: Jollof rice tasted scorched, the egusi stews (chicken and goat) both tasted of fish and were VERY oily. Could only stomach a few bites of the chicken stew. Took the remaining goat stew home and when reheating, noticed prickly black goat hairs still attached to the meat! I was grossed out and immediately started dry-heaving (which was what prompted me to write this review). CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Service was terrible. Horrible. No one greeted us. As first-timers, we seated ourselves and after 10 mins realized no one was going to come over. Had to approach the young man sitting idly behind the counter about placing an order, and removing the dirty cup left on the table from prior guests. He apologized, but made NO effort to come clean the table. Mind you, it was a slow Sunday evening and only 2 other tables were occupied. The older gentlemen who served the food was kind and professional. However, no one followed up to see if we were satisfied or needed anything additional. We removed the dirty cup and fetched additional napkins OURSELVES. Interestingly enough, the older woman attended to one particular table TWICE. (I'll reserve my thoughts on why). On a positive note, I enjoyed the upbeat music. FYI, you pay for the meal at the kiosk monitor when you place your order, so I tipped as I always do. Wish I could...

It was the worst restaurant experience i ever had. there was ony one other person person eating. after a half hour I had to ask where was my food. they claim they didn't see my order, mine you the place was empty when I ordered. when the food finally arrived the jolof tasted burnt, like they scraped the bottom of the pan. it came with a small chicken leg and a fish(was dry) the size of the chicken leg. the salad had no dressing, just a couple of pieces of lettuce and sliced carrots. The only thing that was good was the plaintains. The customer service was horrendous. No one spoke to me when I arrived but when others came in after me they were greeted warmly. No one asked if I wanted something to drink anything, and when I acquired about getting a glass of water, the girl said I would have to pay for it. The atmosphere was cold and the people were obnoxious. I felt they purposely provided bad...

My husband picked up their “Jollof rice, chicken, fish, egg and plantain” meal for lunch around 12:15pm. The chicken and fish were cold, you can tell they don’t cook them fresh. The plantains was good. The rice was the only thing warm. My husband paid $22 for this meal. We called back and the young lady was nice and understanding and said she will make it fresh once my husband gets off work. He arrived there after work and the owner greeted him. She was very rude and unprofessional. She opened the container and looked at the WHOLE meal still there. She pointed out that he bit the chicken and fish ONE bite from each (very petty). Of course he bit it, that’s how he knew it was NOT fresh and did not taste good. The food was 1/10 other than the plantains. Absolutely not worth the time or money. We will never return! We do not recommend ANYONE to spend their...

Everything was pretty good overall. The egusi itself had a nice flavor from what I could taste, but both meals had so much oil that it overpowered everything else. The goat was surprisingly tender (a lot of African restaurants tend to overcook the meat, but not here), and the fish was also nice. The main issue was the lack of spice or seasoning it didn’t really have that bold flavor I was expecting. I think it would help if customers could request the stew with less oil or even have the option to order the oil/stew on the side. I actually had to pour some of it out in street just to avoid making a mess in my semi truck.

I ordered goat stew with fufu And 3 meat kabobs. The stew and fufu was like $18, But it was delicious and a reasonable portion. The spicy meat kabobs were also delicious, But less value for the $12. You'd get twice as much for less money from the Chinese restaurant door. That said, this place is a welcome change in pace. Hopefully I can make more money, because 30-40$ per person is a bit steep for me to be a regular, but the flavors are good.

I found the atmosphere aesthetically pleasing. I ordered the Egusi and Goat Meat Stew w. Banku and it was E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G! I also tried the Peanut Soup w. Chicken and that was good too! Before that, I hadn't had good Ghanaian food in years and it was almost healing to enjoy such good authentic food in a nice atmosphere. Everything was hot and tasted incredible. Food also came in reasonable portions too. Can't wait to go back!
