Where do I start...while we all love Krispy Kreme donuts and this store is new, there is major dysfunction going on. As soon as you walk in, you can't tell where the lines are because nobody knows for sure where they start. Once you take the time to ask people if they are on line or what, you realize most of the people standing around are waiting for their orders to be filled...and I ask why? Once we placed our order and watched, we saw nothing but dysfunction going on. Many workers standing around doing nothing while over 20 people waiting for donuts. The cash register person left their station to fill orders, while other workers stood around and watched. If I was the manager, not one person would be standing around..worker or customer. All the boxes should be made during non peak times, to aid during peak times..just like pizza parlors do...they have stacked pizza boxes ready to go..so should this place. The workers are not grabbing the donuts from the case as the person orders, instead, they are grabbing them from the back someplace. We should see what we are ordering. Another dysfunction is the fact that the donuts are all different sizes. I have never seen this in another Krispy Kreme store, so I'm not sure why it's happening here. Lastly and most importantly where you pick up your order is right by the exit. So many unaware people are too busy waiting for their donuts to realize they are blocking the exit. This is a complete hazard and the workers should call peoples attention to it, but they all are too quiet to say anything. So hopefully someone who owns or runs this facility sees this and steps in and does some training, otherwise this location will close down like the one in Brick did years ago. No reason not to fill someone's order while they are ordering. See photo below of uneven donuts...again, I've never seen this and I'm sure Corporate would have something to say about this. At least I...

Have always been a fan. Knowing they've had their troubles from years gone by, was excited at the prospect of a new store opening in close proximity... the drive through was beyond slow, one car in front of us and waited well over 10 minutes from the time order was taken (which was arduous in itself) with only one vehicle in front if us. We got to the window to pay and receive our order without acknowledgement for at least 5 minutes while inside patrons were being tended to, we finally get acknowledged we ordered 2- 3 counts and 2 single donuts, the 2 - 3 counts were handed to driver with the bag of only one donut (not 2) like ordered with the bag with single donut dropping to ground... they replaced it. The boxes for the 3 count donuts do not properly close making them cumbersome to handle without donuts falling out. The single donut we did try WAS NOT of krispy kreme of past, the pastry lacked flavor and fryer fat was either burnt or poor quality, the "chocolate (fondant) topping the donut tasted exceedingly artificial, sadly the coffee was pretty bad too. Hopefully, in time it gets better but if original ingredients have been altered that much at the prices they're charging for a substandard product their demise, not unlike the one that closed, close by, 20 years ago will...

Let me tell you I am the biggest fan of the Krispy Kreme in Lakewood. I drove an hour and a half from Hackensack New Jersey to get here because Hackensack New Jersey really wasn't very nice to me today and I am a regular customer there. Well let's put it this way. I WAS šŸ˜‰ (now my business will definitely go to the Lakewood Krispy Kreme). I will just pick up my donuts before I get on the parkway to go to up to North Jersey. The two gentlemen and I don't know your names but you were both there tonight at 8:30 right before closing you both were awesome!! Totally courteous. Totally helpful. And definitely made the trip what I needed it to be. When you promise kids something and you're told you can get it and then they pull the rug out from under you and you go into another location and they are more than accommodating more than courteous and have such an amazing way with customers why would I go anywhere else?! Thank you guys so very much for everything that you've done. I know it was right near closing but you guys were awesome. I got everything I needed for the kids and it was a pleasure. You definitely will be seeing a lot more of me in the Krispy Kreme at Lakewood because Hackensack will see me no more šŸ˜...

The store was crowded due to it being their Grand Opening. There was a line and from when you entered to when you received your order it took approximately 20 minutes. The employees were friendly and courteous. They were working hard to keep the line moving. Their Donuts are light and have a good taste. My only problem is that there Raspberry filled and Boston Cream Donuts did not have a lot of jelly or cream in them. It would say the Raspberry filled and Boston Cream were about 95-97% dough and 3-5% filling. There is enough parking. Even with a long line inside the store there were still parking spaces available. The store itself faces a major East/West road and is located close to an exit and entrance for the Garden State Parkway. It is across the street from a Costco and is located in a shopping center with a Home Depot. They had a store located about a mile or two further east but it closed down 19 years ago after only being open for 2 years. They routinely have promotions and have a loyalty club.

I finally stopped here after this place opened a month or so ago. It was on a weekday afternoon so there was no line at all. While I’ve had Krispy Kreme donuts in the past and really enjoyed them, I can’t say the same about this visit. The first thing I noticed was how pathetically small the donuts were. I understand that inflation is still really high now and people are hurting but they should just market these as mini donuts and be done with it, see picture with my car keys for comparison….the donuts are only slightly bigger than my key fob. To be fair the donuts tasted good but it’s ridiculous to be able to eat a whole donut in 3 bites. I don’t see this place staying in business long unless they improve the value because right now it’s severely lacking; it was nearly $16.00 for 6 donuts. People will go for a while because it’s still in the novelty phase but when that wears off I think they’ll be in trouble.
