Service was excellent! I am Mexican and recently moved to the area. Always on the lookout for great Mexican food options. Having a drive thru would come in handy on busy days. But, I wanted to experience inside on my first visit. The staff was friendly and prompt. 5 stars on service ✨️ The music, TV and vibe was entertaining and typical of what is found in quick Mexican restaurants.

Heres when my experience took a sharp turn. Inside the restaurant there was an incredibly unpleasant scent. Smells like rancid oil or something similar. I thought it was possibly be some issue with my nose. But, after leaving I confirmed my partner smelled the same off-putting scent. I felt nauseous and had to wait outside.

I am sad to say the food had an odd flavor...I couldn't eat more than a handful of bites before I had to toss it. I got the Carne Asada fries, an entree I love as I've ordered many times in authentic restaurants from coast to coast. The meat tasted off, not the typical flavor profile. And I dont mean unseasoned or overseasoned...this was I dont know how to describe it other than the meat tasted off. The fries portion was kinda okay but being in contact with the meat made them taste weird also.

I really hate leaving a bad review but the food was truly gross. Im not sure if the fry oil or grill hadn't been cleaned or possibly not rinsed properly from cleaner. The acrid scent and taste ruined my food. I hope no one else had this experience and this was...

We were driving around looking for a simple place to eat, and Burrito California lakewood caught our attention. So we stopped in, took a look at the menu, and it just looked good, so we ordered Carne Asada Fries, five (5) street tacos, a wet bean and cheese burrito and finally, a monster burrito! My son had the Carne Asada Fries, and his only response was "straight legit," and my wife had the wet burrito. I gotta say that the wet burrito sauce was crazy good, and the beans were perfect. Now, I got the monster burrito, and let me tell you, it does not disappoint in any way possible! This burrito was packed with tender Carne Asada and cheese, along with rice and beans, and the entire burrito had to weigh in upwards of two (2) pounds. The street tacos were just as good as you could ask for, and if you really take notice of how much meat they had, you would probably have enough meat to make five (5) more!!
