Audio Tech — Local services in Lakewood

They did a good job installing my Viper car alarm. It has worked flawlessly for a year now while others who installed theirs themselves or went to other places are struggling to maintain theirs & keep them working well/properly. Audio Tech was professional and friendly. They did their best to explain things I didn't understand to me. Really, this is a great place. It's not a discount mart, expect to pay a fair price for parts+installation. I understand - these folks need to live too, so they offer their professionalism and expertise for a price. The place is small and not the nicest looking, but it functions well.

-1 star because, as I read through these reviews, your responses appear overly defensive. Your job isn't to publicly defend your actions, but to serve your customers. Simply say "Sorry that you had this experience. We want you to know that we've listened to your feedback and we are taking measures to ensure something like this doesn't happen again. This includes {insert action taken here}. If you have any other input you think would further help us, please don't hesitate to give us a call at {phone number here}, we would love to talk to you in more detail and remedy the issue with {free item/small gift card/discount offer}. A response like that should always be the case, wheather or not the customer is in the wrong. Anything else looks really, really bad. If I was looking for a place to shop (as I did a year ago) and saw these responses, I would decide right then and there that I don't want to deal with you people. A customer can't help but think: "I don't know a lot about this electronics stuff. If something goes wrong with my order, I don't want them to make excuses for themselves. I want them to stand by their products and services and make it right for me." I hope to see an improvement in your responses. I have had nothing but expert installations of whatever I needed done by Audio Tech. Audio Tech took the time to help me understand the installations and how it impacted my existing systems. I’ve gone to other local professional installers and the knowledge of install does not come close to Audio Tech knowledge. Although, my knowledge of audio installation is very little, I have always been treated with respect. I stumbled on this store and didn’t know this level of expert advisors and installers existed in the local area. Anyone can do an install on the cheap, but Audio Tech encourages you to do the install properly, instead of cutting corners and cost. Audio Tech has given me discounts for what I wanted installed and have always supported me with any problems that I had with the install with no additional cost (this is because I listened to the expert, learned from the experience that they helped me understand, and followed the guidance of the expert). I’ve had several items installed by Audio Tech, and I trust them completely, which is much more than I can say about any professional installer in the local area in my 25 years of being in the local area. brought my new (Christmas present) dash cam into Audio Tech to see if they could do an install for me. They said no problem, and at a very competitive price. Brought it in and they were done in a couple of hours. Didn't think that we were going to be able to direct wire, but the installer came up with a solution that allowed no cigarette lighter plug in the dash for power supply. Very professional install, all wires hidden for front and rear camera and power supply. Had a hiccup with my 2017 Toyota Tacoma having some sensitivity with the power supply chosen so they rerouted to a different power supply. Very happy with their customer service.
