Lakewood Playhouse — Attraction in Lakewood

This small but fantastic theater in the round located in Lakewood Town Center, is a true gem. From the moment you walk in getting greeted like you are an old friend, the staff is attentive and welcoming, concessions very affordable. Treat yourself to something made by Sjana's Sweets! The Lakewood Playhouse is now showing The Spitfire Grill! The performance was great, good acting and singing. I wish Hannah's voice would have been stronger. As one of the central characters in this show, Hannah carries 2 of the most important songs of the story, and it lacked that powerful conveyance that should represent Hannah's character. My favorite was Madelaine Katz playing the town's gossip! The music played live under the direction of Elijah Bellis was really a treat, I would have loved to see an ensemble besides the main characters to carry the songs more fully! A great performance by a great cast! Really nice seating and concessions available as well (pretty cheap in all honesty-popcorn is only 3$ for unlimited refills. Compare that to your 8$ popcorn at the movie theater!) I hope to return soon. The establishment is lovely and so is the staff. Also a very pleasant community in the audience. I enjoyed my experience so much! Everyone did a fantastic job in Heather's, if I could give them another round of applause I would! The theater itself was intimate and comfortable. The middle sections didnt have the more leg room but they're working on that. Because it's such a small theater even the people who were a few minutes late (to a sold out show no less) were able to enjoy the whole show which was lovely.
