Fermentality/Niya Bakery — Restaurant in Lakewood

I don't even know where to begin! I happened to be in the area and hit Yelp looking for a keto bakery. This place looked very promising. When I walked in I was immediately blown away. The items on display looked amazing, like a combination of food and art.

The owner, who I assume is named Niya, explained the bakery's offerings to me. I chatted with her about her business got started. I loved that she started making her own keto foods and baked goods for her own lifestyle change and got convinced by her friends to start selling her creations. She said that she is a classically trained chef, which explains why everything looked so delectable and delicate.

She recommended the bagels and the pistachio cake but said that everything should be good. It was hard to not buy literally everything but I let my eyes do the choosing for me. I ended up with the following:

Pistachio Vanilla Cake Chocolate Strawberry Loaf Cake Raspberry Coffee Cake Chocolate Chip Cookie Ham & Cheese Bagel Cinnamon Roll

Everything was good, but that pistachio vanilla cake was exquisite. I'm pretty sure it was the best keto dessert I've ever had. The chocolate strawberry loaf cake was also really good, super moist and flavorful. Can you tell I love cake?? The raspberry filling in the coffee cake was delicious, and the bagel was nice and savory which is hard to find with keto baked goods.

Overall I was really happy with my visit and can't wait to come back! I'm always happy to support a local business that truly deserves it. Hopefully it happens sooner rather than later as I don't come to the Lakewood...

There was another business here before with the same menu concept and Fermentalty although the same concept is nothing like them! Getting older I was very interested in eating healthier and I tried several different items from the previous place and I found all of it to be bland, chalky and unappealing to say the least.

But I thought I would give this new Fermentslity a try and from the minute you walk in and see what they have on display you see a huge difference. I talked with them about my dislike of the old business and they assured me they are nothing like them... and so I tried a couple of things they had on display and Whaaa Lhaaa! It is amazing!

They actually have a menu of gluten free, enriched flour free, sugar free bakery products that are absolutely delicious! I will not only be back but I recommend Fermentality to anyone watching their carbs and...

I wanted to try this bakery because I was in the area. It is a small bakery just pick up. There is no seating, but the bakery is clean and pleasant. I met the owner who was friendly and helpful.
