It appears they remodeled the rooms and the outside recently so kudos to that, maybe there is new management. I've stayed at this motel twice about 6 months apart and a strange phenomena took place, on both stays I got a call from the front desk who is the owner that they need to do maintenance in my room, specifically changing the shower head out with a new one as it is leaking and asked for permission to enter my room. You will be pressured to let them in because they communicate that the maintenance guy can't wait for me, so I would tell them to give me 10 minutes and knock on my door. The 2nd time this happened 6 months apart, I was prepared, took pictures and video with my iPhone to test the shower head and no leaks, everything is functional. Guy walks in and replaces the shower head with the exact same model of shower head and left. To make things more suspicious the "maintenance guy" was a resident at the motel as I saw him multiple times hanging out on 2nd floor balcony chair, the owner was obviously suspicious of me and this is what they do to get intel on what you are doing in your room. Paranoid yet? About 1/2 of the motel rooms are residents that make this place their home. I give this place 2 stars mainly because the rooms are bigger than average, and you have a lot of great...

It's also located next to Hawaiian Gardens Casino if you like to play and gamble. Its prime location has a gas station next door and fast access to the 605 freeway. I loved the room. It was impeccably clean and maintenance in the room is well kept and in like-new condition. I love the vibrant bold colors used to decorate the room. It was simple, yet stylish. I love has the is a spacious open parking lot where you dont have to worry about parking. You can also visibly see you vehicle from your window no matter what room you are in. The area is very quiet and private and you feel safe and secure at Trade Winds Motel. The manager was very friendly and polite. Check-in was handled promptly and he made it very welcoming and easy for me. I have stayed in plenty of motels, inns, and hotels in the surrounding area and I definitely highly recommend Trade Winds Motel as the Best Budget-Friendly Accomodation. The quality of service, cleanliness and convenience for a room under $100 makes this my go-to...
Read moreit's Tuesday, August 6th, and I just tried to rent a room for the night, a 2-bed with kitchenette. Office clerk told me he had the room I wanted available over the phone so I didn't have to make the trip for nothing. My family and I went in the office to pay the $340, and he told me that I would "have to deal with a SINGLE king size bed with kitchenette." This is NOT what I wanted. I told him I would have to find a place elsewhere if he couldn't accommodate my family's needs, and he rudely gave me my money back. I then said, "Maybe you shouldn't tell people you have rooms available when you in fact DON'T, it's a waste of gas on my part." He came as close to the glass divider as he could get and said, "Are you trying to test me?!" I said, "No; I have a 2 year old daughter with me. BACK UP." I then proceeded to take my wife and daughter out to our car, which he FOLLOWED me out to, and still insisted on fighting! After a minute of him charging up at me, my wife, AND my 2 year old he turned around and walked inside sputtering some cuss words loud enough for my daughter to hear! DON'T EVER RENT HERE, HE MAY DECIDE TO ATTACK ANYONE WHO MIGHT REFUSE A ROOM! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! WE WILL...
