Fortune City — Restaurant in Lakewood

This restaurant has consistently good food and service. My server was running her butt off to keep up, and she did an excellent job. I always eat their Kung Poa Triple Delight. It is spicy - but not too hot as I discard the hot peppers. I absolutely enjoy it. I have been going to this restaurant for at least 20 years - maybe 30. It has been so long I have lost track of time. They are a consistently good establishment. I think they have some of the best Chinese food available in this area of town! I would highly recommend you stop in for lunch. That is their best value for your buck. The last few times I have been in they did not serve the customary small pot of hot tea. I don't know if they stopped doing that because people didn't drink it - but if you enjoy the hot tea with your meal - I would ask about it. It used to be included in the cost of one's meal. Ordered for delivery. Was told 40-45 mins so I got busy sorting stuff out in my bedroom. Not even 20 minutes go buy and I receive a very rude phone call. Not only is it the delivery driver telling me he came and knocked, but he’s shouting at me from inside his car which I can hear at my front door, shouting that no ones home, he came and no one answered, he knocked and no one answered, what’s my address. When I proceeded to tell him I was sorry I didn’t hear him knock I was in my room he got out of his car and proceeded to shout at me over the phone until he was halfway up the stairs, where I met him. Never have I been shouted at by a delivery driver. Absolutely disgusting conduct. I called and reported this to the restaurant and was told I can get a store credit or leave it as is. horrible. we ordered sweet and sour chicken, wanton sup and crab and cheese wantons. it only took 20 minutes to get the food, the chicken was plain no sauce in the bag and no silverware. we called back to see if we could get the right stuff. 25 minutes later we had to call again to see if we should come get our sweet and sour sauce. they said it was too busy and the driver would get here when he could. 10 minutes later i called back to see if we could get our money back and we would order from somewhere else. they said not unless we hadn't taken a single bite of anything and again i asked how long for the sauce, the lady said when the driver has time. it took another 8 minutes. they were rude on the phone and when they brought our stuff. i will never ever eat here again. save yourself the trouble and go...
