First and last time customer. They had good reviews, so I thought it would be really good, though priced pretty high.
Apparently I'm supposed to be happy with this margarita pizza that's missing the classic toppings they boast and looks like it barely made it into the oven.
To top it off, they sent it through doordash. I had to retrieve it out of the street. The driver threw it. I had caught him leaving with my order, after taking a picture of it across the street.
I also ordered and paid for a canoli, and never saw any sign of it existing.
I called the store and was basically told it's not their problem. The missing toppings either... I ordered directly through their site and not doordash. Doordash says call the restaurant, and this guy tells me to call doordash. No apologies whatsoever, he said, 'Do you not understand English, or are you just stupid?'
Margarita pizzas have tomatoes, buddy. Like your menu...
It's also very, very soggy, seriously wet all over the bottom, and the cheese is all one hard glob. Gross.
I want my $ back. 😡
Overpriced even if it had been edible.
Update, he says I got refunded. Total lie. As stated before, my order was placed through the restaurant then sent to doordash. The restaurant is responsible for the $36 I was charged. This is literally the most I have ever paid for any pizza delivery, and aside from the horrible delivery, it's the worst quality of product I've seen from any pizza restaurant.
I support local business completely, but ethical ones who aren't shockingly eager to abuse patrons.
To the owner, I suggest you learn how doordash even works before you throw your business and all your accountability at them.
I don't think the driver meticulously picked all the tomatoes off. I doubt the driver took the pizza out mostly raw.
I'm still waiting for a response from Ignazio's customer contact form. Apparently further unethical behavior in a response to this review instead of addressing an issue is acceptable to this business.
So far I have paid $36, with absolutely no offer to fix or refund the order. So far I have spent $36 to waste my time calling multiple numbers, to be sent back to the restaurant. So far I have paid $36 to be verbally abused multiple times by the restaurant owner.
Again, I support local businesses with a passion. I absolutely DO NOT support shockingly abusive people who happen to own a restaurant. The response is a much nicer example of the customer service I experienced.
My gender doesn't make me stupid, mister.
I will GLADLY take my...
Read moreFound this wonderful spot after a google search for Italian in Lakewood. It was my Aunt’s 83 yo birthday and she’s a retired restaurant and hotel reviewer for AAA. We both ordered the Chicken Piccata and the food presentation was beautiful. We both thought it was over salted and couldn’t pinpoint if it was the sauce or possibly the capers. The pasta was al dente and couldn’t remember a time we had gone to an Italian restaurant and the noodles weren’t over cooked. The vegetables were perfection as well, still firm and flavorful and not mushy. The chicken may have been a tad over cooked but delicious. Chicken Piccata is not an entree seen on many menus and even maybe over salted it’s something easy to do and easily corrected. The wait staff were above and beyond and Sam (I believe his name) sang to my Aunt in both English and Italian and gave her a rose. My Aunt got tears in her eyes. Ignazio even had kind words for my Aunt as we left but unfortunately her hearing aids were not working and she didn’t understand him. My Aunt wanted wine with her meal and they do not serve alcohol. I surmised that maybe they’re so new they don’t have a liquor license. We will be back and I know we’ll try the pizza. The struggle is real to find a great pizza in metro Denver. I’m very excited for this new spot and encourage you all to check it out. It’s very small inside with maybe 6-7 tables so call ahead for reservations or availability if you can.Oh and I forgot the Arancini is a must try appetizer, again another item not often found in restaurants in metro Denver. It was so...
Read moreAfter spending the day at Maroon Bells, I was really craving Italian food, so when we got back into town I searched the reviews for somewhere new to try. With a 4.9-star rating, I was pretty excited about this place — unfortunately, that excitement didn’t last long.
When we arrived there was a cute little table outside, but since it was warm out I assumed we’d eat inside. The moment we stepped through the door, though, the heat was stifling — definitely not a comfortable dining environment — so we turned around and opted for the outdoor table instead.
The owner (I don’t think his name was Ignazio, though I can’t recall exactly) brought us water and made some recommendations. I had been craving a good lemon chicken piccata, so I ordered that. My boyfriend ordered manicotti (I believe — writing this a month later, so I may be slightly off there).
Sadly, something about the food just tasted off. Neither of us finished our meals, and neither wanted to take the leftovers home, which should tell you everything you need to know. While we were eating, another couple came in, took one step inside, noticed how hot it was, looked at us sitting outside, and immediately left — so clearly we weren’t the only ones bothered by the atmosphere. If the AC had gone out unexpectedly, that’s understandable — but the owner didn’t act like that was the issue.
Bottom line: the food wasn’t good, the atmosphere was uncomfortable, and the prices were on the high side. I...
