KFC — Restaurant in Lakewood

I've never eaten here, but I'm never coming here again. Never even got a chance to place an order. Most miserable experience I've ever had at any restaurant. I pulled up to the drive thru around 10:15 AM, and a voice on the speaker asked me about a sandwich I might like to try and then told me to go ahead with my order when I was ready. I told her I needed just a minute to decide, and there was no response. I figured out what I wanted then tried to order. Still no response from the speaker. I called out, "Hello? Is anyone there?" No reply. Assuming there might be something wrong with the speaker, I said I would pull around and walk in. As I walked up to the door, through the glass I saw employees moving around behind the counter. When I reached the door, though, it was locked, and all the employees had HIDDEN FROM SIGHT. I knocked on the door, and no one came. Everyone had bolted. It was the strangest, most unprofessional thing I have ever experienced at any business, restaurant or otherwise. I did not know when I pulled up to the drive thru that they didn't open until 10:30, but still, someone had prompted me at the drive thru to order!! Someone could have easily apologized for the oversight in asking for my order and informed me that they were not open yet. That would have been fine! Instead, they left me hanging halfway out my window making a fool of myself yelling at a now-unattended speaker, and locked the door and hid when they saw me coming to the door. HID!! It would have been funny if it wasn't so IMPOSSIBLY rude. I'll never be going...

Went through drive through because it was 1. Raining 2. I had my 1 year old in the car with me. 3. There was no waiting in line. I placed an order (at the drive-thru speaker) for a 3 piece and biscuit to share with my hungry child on the way back home to the Eastside after just picking him up from the sitter. When I got to the window, I was asked if I was for "doordash." I said I just ordered a 3 peice and a biscuit no sides. The girl at the window said she was new there and couldn't find my order. All I hear inside is some manager with a headset on who sounded just like the person who took my order, in a nasty tone saying: she can't just pull up to the window trying to place an order! Tell her she gotta come inside! Baby girl, I think I've been through enough drive thrus to know how it's done. Now, on top of that.. I also heard her telling employees they were on a 12-minute hold for original recipe chicken. Why is there a 12-minute hold on chicken when you only have 1-2 customers? That's crazy. They didn't even look short staffed. SMH. I asked to speak to whomever was taking orders in drive thru, and surprisingly, no one knew who that person was. What does the woman with the headset do? Nothing, I assume. Anyways I ended up leaving without the chicken. It wasn't worth me dragging my baby out of the car, into the rain, just to go inside when drive thru...

Today was an eye opener for me about being diligent and particular about trusting fast food to serving you fresh food free from anything in edible. I'm very upset that I had to experience this today. The cuyahoga county health department will be out at 330pm today to check to see if there is an infestation. But why and how did this baby roach or whatever it is that look similar to it got in my cup. I would have not known about this tiny bug if I was serve a straw but I had to drink out of the cup and as I tilted it this bug stuck on to the white part of the kfc cup. This can happen anywhere at anytime , as a consumer we are reaponsie for checking our food as we pray over it when we let others prepare it. I hope this is an eye opener for kfc to be more diligent in there serve safe practices. Thank you Eric district manager and mitra chalak group for moving forward to take care of this issue and I hope moving forward even though I will never be customer again that there will be no more incidences like mines. And I hope you guys do all the follow through that was told to me you'll do. Goodluck and everyone check your food before consuming it because things like this can be missed by fast food...
