I am extremely disappointed by the customer service I received at Hola tacos today. I got to the location around 7:35 and there was a line of about 3 people in front of me, there was one girl taking orders. I patiently waited as she took all of their orders. When she was done with them she never even acknowledged the fact that I was standing there, and it was obvious I was waiting to be helped because after they placed their orders they exited to their cars. I continued to wait as this girl started handing out food and busying herself with other miscellaneous things. Another young lady asked me if I needed something and I said yes I need to place a order and she told me I had to wait for the original girl that I was already waiting for. Some more time goes by and she taking phone orders and cashing people out, never once greet me or anything. After three of them cashed out one customer and finally asked me did I need some help, I said yes I need to place a order, she proceeded to tell me it was a 45min to hour wait and I said that’s fine. She then WALKED AWAY. Never took the order, didn’t say okay give me a minute, nothing. So I stood there trying to figure out what really just happened. The phone rang and she answered, I’m still visible standing no more than 5 feet away from her. A white couple walks in and she immediately addresses them asking them were they there for pick up or dine in, she let them know the wait time, she even offered to call them when it was close to the time their food would be ready. Where was this customer service at for me? I had been in there for over 15-20 minutes and she act like I was invisible. After the couple declined and left I politely asked her why she addressed them before servicing me. They clearly were standing behind me in the line and you know you rudely walked away when I was talking to you earlier. She never apologized for her unprofessionalism. She proceeded to ask me well did I want to place a order because the wait was a hour and a half now. And I told her why did the time change for me when you told me it was 45 to one hour a little ago. She just looked at me and I told her don’t even worry about it because I was too outdone by how I was treated. I have gone to this location for YEARS, and I have a pretty nice size family and we spend a good amount of money there and I just can’t believe how horrific this was. It was as though I was invisible or something like she was purposely avoiding me. I was literally the only person standing by the cash register at one point in time and she went and did some other miscellaneous things like looking in the cooler. If you didn’t want to service me fine, say that. But I’ve done nothing to you, I’ve never even seen it interact with you prior to today. Don’t waste 25 minutes of my time when I’m trying to give your business money. I rave about this place and I just can’t believe how I was treated today. It was so poor, distasteful, unprofessional, and disrespectful. When I left today I promise I’ll never ever go back. That’s time waste, gas wasted, expectations let down. Just a sorry situation. Management needs to retrain her or place her where she isn’t with customers. I’m not saying this was a racial motivated situation but it sure looks like it. The white lady she took her order with no problem, two Mexican/ Hispanic men she serviced with no problem, they left she never addressed me, she cashed out other people, a white couple walks in and physically standing behind me as I’m standing by the cash register and your nice and attentive and address them immediately, but me the black woman in a fuchsia coat you just can’t seem to see. I’ll never be...

Read moreThe restaurant was nicely located, quaint, and nicely decorated. That is pretty much where is stops. The waitstaff must have been understaffed, or something, because my wife, kids and I sat inside, and seemed to be forgotten for long stretches of time. The VEGAN options are slim to none. Matter of fact, unless the person ordering makes the changes to what they are ordering, the VEGAN options are NONE, which is especially surprising for Lakewood, cause we spend a lot of time in Lakewood cause of the huge offering of vegan eateries. We ordered the chile roasted cauliflower, and the waitress, NEVER made a single comment that this is going to be an extremely spicy taco, and may not be the best choice for two young children (7 and 9, respectively), so to our amazement, when the food finally came out, almost 20 minutes later, it was extremely spicy, and inedible for our children. So, after flagging down the waitress, who disappeared again, and explaining that our kids can not eat what they have been served, we ordered the refried bean tacos for them, as a replacement. Over 25 minutes later, we still did not have our new tacos for our kids. We finally chose to leave, paid for the tacos that we did eat (my wife and I, while our kids ate the anemic offering of chips, and tiny bowl of guac that was extremely over-priced) and then find out that they were going to charge us for the tacos that our daughters DID NOT EAT, and were going to charge us for the tacos WE WERE WAITING OVER 25 MINUTES FOR, AND NEVER RECEIVED. After patiently explaining there was no way we were paying for them, pointing out that the uneaten tacos were still on the table, that our waitress never came back to, and we never received the tacos we ordered to feed our children, they finally amended the check. But, when asked about why the replacement tacos were not push on a hot rush, due to the fact that we were never told that the cauliflower was so spicy, the waitress shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't tell the chef that it was a rush replacement and was fulfilling other orders first. I explained to her that I didn't see her tip as a priority, since I now had to go to another restaurant to feed my children, that she saw as a nuisance. Long story short, don't take kids there, cause they are NOT kid friendly, and ask a lot of questions, cause the waitstaff will offer NO additional information on the items you...
