SAFETY WARNING!!!! BREAKING HEALTH AND HUMAN SAFTEY STANDARDS. ALL HANDS IN YOUR ICE, MAYBE WORSE. This location needs immidiate retraining into health and safety. I have video. I have worked in the biz/managment, and i watched live from the drive through... as they broke safety rules, putting every customer in danger, who ordered a drink. If they don't know and follow this basic rule, what else aren't they following!! I'd be willing to bet -a lot. I watched multiple staff, at least 3, fill cups of ice using their hands holding the cups into the ice machine. One of them seemed to pour out a watered down bit of a cup and fill it, as if it was left over from something, since she walked over from the front end, not that she filled it wrong a bit there in the first place. It looked like melted ice with it, giving the impression someone had already drank out of that cup. Possibly a staff drinking cup. So the staff is allowing their hand germs into the ice. The standard is to use a scoop where only the handle is touched by the staff. When I alerted the manager, I watched her tell the staff how they needed to perform the work. They then continued to fill cups and I had to tell them that that is outside of standards of health and human safety. That they needed to empty and clean the whole machine now and could not serve that ice. They were going to continue to serve it!! They do not seem to have any basic understanding of these standards if the manager did not shut the machine down right away. There are 4 viruses peaking right now and this is how they operate!!!! They should be shut down for a deep clean and retraining and reopened. They should prove to the public they are safe again. I would not recommend such extremes if it were just the staff cutting cornings, though 3 is a lot! But the fact that managment did not know to shut the machine down is telling! I had a couple of bad experiences over the years at this location where I may have given them a 3 star over it- getting way less truffle sauce then if you paid a dollar for it seperately etc and how a staff aggressively handled a complaint. But I love popeyes food enough. But endangering lives is a huge line cross. Someone no doubt, has gotten sick or worse from such practices. It's a matter of time and science. It's numbers. Ice machines hold mold, and don't often get cleaned enough period. And then you add all the staff's hand germs...
Read moreLet me start by saying I’m so disappointed that I even felt it was necessary to write a review because I love Popeyes. That being said, I was excited to see a new Popeyes in my neighborhood but my experience at this new location was TERRIBLE to say the least. First of all, the customer service was horrible, the person on the drive thru was just condescending plain and simple, I asked for classic tenders and she asked if I wanted spicy but then I clarified again I wanted classic, I also ordered fries but they said they were out of fries for whatever reason on a Friday night at 9:30 when the store hours say they close at 11pm. It almost seemed like they were trying to close an hour and a half early which I wouldn’t mind if they would just update their hours on their website and Google and even the sticker in their doors and windows. This leads me to the food. I asked for classic tenders and they still gave me spicy (the girl on the speaker was trying to sell me spicy from the beginning) and I personally can’t handle spice so when I got home and found out I was very upset because I paid money for something I can’t even eat. If they were out of the classic tenders (which I don’t think they were they just didn’t want to fry new ones just like with the fries) they could’ve just said that to me and I wouldn’t of ordered anything and saved my money. Instead I wasted my time and have to throw away food and money. I love Popeyes but I rather drive out of my way to go to another way further location downtown than to waste my time at this joke of...
Read moreI come here frequently I live right on jewell and wadsworth less than a mile from this ridiculous place and it’s the only Popeyes close to me. I usually get a 3/4 piece, regular, only legs. Simple and easy.. right ? Wrong. Today was definitely where it crossed the line for me, I got a 16 piece family meal only no breasts. They told me I have to wait which is normal as I usually have to wait at least 10 mins every time I go… I don’t mind this to get exactly what I want and what I ordered. So I park and wait… 10 mins goes by… 15 mins goes by… 20 mins goes by….okay so forget that I go inside to get my order and they’re like oh yea it’s been waiting for you right here. AFTER THEY TOLD ME TO GO PARK AND WAIT?? Like what??? So I check my order and they’re still gave me breasts. I absolutely did dig through this box and check every piece and they took my whole order back instead of exchanging the few breasts for other pieces and put it BACK UNDER THE HEAT TO SELL TO OTHER PEOPLE. I know this is so wrong being in the service industry myself and this just blows my mind because I wouldn’t have a job if I acted the way these people do at work. And all of them act like any basic request or question is like the end of their world or they act like they don’t understand you and play stupid… good job Popeyes . Good job.
Edit because I forgot the best part, they told me I had a very complicated order… as in the “no breasts” part of it. So rude and...
