Sol Boba — Restaurant in Lakewood

This place never fails to knock me off my feet with good boba! My fiancé and I used to frequent this place often (we've since moved), and it is one, if not, THE best boba in the Tacoma area.

Employees are always happy to serve you. Never once had a "bad experience" with one of their boba-ristas. They're nice people to talk to and they get your drinks out within minutes of you ordering. I remember one time the girl asked where my hoodie was from and we had a whole conversation about good hoodies! I cannot remember her name, but her customer service skills were through the roof amazing!

The tapioca pearls here are really soft, so depending on how YOU like it, it may not be for you, but to me, they're perfect! And they're sweetened! A lot of places just boil in water, so there's no flavor to the pearls, but here it seems like they sweeten them. I could go on and on about minor details, but here's a big one that I appreciate, THEY HAVE OAT MILK. They can make drinks with oat milk! Although some of their drinks cannot be made completely dairy free, the option to lessen the dairy/lactose intake is always a plus in my book.

The prices are really good, they know their worth and stick by it! Not crazy expensive, like some other shops I know, but well worth every penny spent. I have to admire their military discount though. As my fiance and I are both military, it's nice to get a buck or two off boba!

Overall, I recommend this place to everyone driving by the Tacoma area, although parking is limited, it's well worth the steps from car to door! And when we do find ourselves in the area, we make the trip here because it's one of my favorite boba spots. As my folks live up in North Washington, the drive to the shop is an hour+, but I'm willing to make the time for this place.

I would like to say that I never type out reviews for any establishment but after trying Sol Boba I have to really say that it's an interesting tasty Boba shop. It is very clean, sleek, simple when it comes to interior, and they also did a great creative job on the logo. I thought their drinks were only going to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye and have no flavor, but to my surprise after tasting my drink which was the "Purple Flurp" with lychee topping that they recommended (by the way had no description of what the ingredients or flavor was on the menu for this drink besides it saying, "Beep. Boop. You might like it.". I love the marketing they went with, getting my attention with this drink that had no details but mystery.) it had a taste of lemonade with something else that I couldn't figure out to the point I really did think this drink tastes as how it sounds (Beep. Boop.) but the sour part of the lemonade taste was very mellow as if it went away every time I sipped on it. My cousin tried their Korean pear drink (forgot the name) and it tastes so refreshing like the real fruit itself and he added Boba which made it so smooth and mellow so you all should try it! Overall, I haven't tried all of their drinks and don't know if they are all good specifically the milk tea drinks that I need to try as well, but I will be coming back soon! To Gary Le the only person so far who gave this shop 1 STAR I recommend you go try something else on their menu because they don't deserve that low of a rating, especially with not giving them any details why it's a 1...

I had been searching for a quality boba spot in the Lakewood/Parkland area and Sol Boba is it!

It is conveniently located next to H Mart for a post grocery shopping trip refreshment. I have been there a few times now and I enjoyed everything I purchased.

You have the ability to adjust the sweetness level, which is a must have for me. I usually order the jasmine milk tea with boba at 30% sweetness. I also enjoy their fruit teas, especially the lychee hibiscus and mango hibiscus. My partner says great things about their speciality drinks with coffee as well.

Their menu clearly shows if a drink has dairy, caffeine, and can be adjusted for sweetness. The staff is also super friendly and warm, which adds to the overall experience.

As a frequent customer, I’d say Sol Boba...
