Palace BBQ — Restaurant in Lakewood

Arrived at 2pm, Waited to be seated, waitress rudely demanded for us to sit in a colder area of the place. Sat for about 10 minutes before she came back and slammed the menu down in front of us. Left for another 5 or so minutes asked if we were ready? We ordered and asked for a couple of drinks and she stormed off.

Place was so so upon arrival as we usually go to the Korean BBQ across the street from this place and thought we should try something different! Noticed tables were dirty, there was a half full cup of water up where the salt( which had little black things in it) was stationed.

Waitress returned with our drinks and order and turned grill on. She came back with side dishes and asked anything else and I commented yes please Rice would be nice and she rolled her eyes. My sister asked can she get a mixed rice and again she rolled her eyes. As we cooked and tasted side dish waitress rudely came back and picked up or beef, and dumped it on the grill all the while we were cooking the pork. Now I don’t know about you but I like to cook my pork and beef desperate but she just acme and popped it on the grill which caused the cooking to become slow.

Not only were we down on the side dishes, we were out of rice, the cooking took extra long time to cook, drinks were done and it took her 15 minutes to return to ask how are we doing! I asked for more pork belly and some onions, as we were still cooking the 1st items she brought which were briskets, pork belly and beef, I asked for more sides and some more rice and drinks and she rolls her eyes again. 3x did I have to call her to replace side dishes, rice. Once for the drink refill and only 2 items for the seconds on the meat. And this is suppose to be a all you can eat lunch special at $17 what a joke

I asked her to replace the grill and she rudely did so, we were mostly full on the sides (3 rounds of it)and rice (twice served ) along with our drinks (one order and it’s refill)than we were on the actual meat itself. And we were the only ones seated in the BBQ area!! The wait time was horrendous, the attitude of the waitress was just pathetic. The food itself was ok, but I’m thinking she was low portioning cause she felt we were not gonna tip her, which she doesn’t deserve anyways.

I recommend to get better service and way better food to go across the street Cham Garden where they treat ya better and the food 10x more goodie then this junk! Never will we return and I will personally send word to friends and family to NEVER visit this trash bag of a place. Maybe they should hire workers that enjoy their jobs rather then feel like their stuck in a rut and don’t enjoy...

I would give 0 stars but it would not let me. This was a horrible experience. As a Office Manager, I took my staff out to eat tonight. I wanted them to try Korean food as I myself am Korean. The waitresses are rude and staff asked me if all Asians were this rude. I was embarrassed. We picked a spot that had two tables pushed together with two grills. They made us squish together and then sat random people right next to us in a tight area. We asked to change to a different table and the waitress said “No it’s too late”. We were so cramped and reaching over each other to get to sides. They are over priced and limit you to 90 minutes but take forever to bring you refills on your food. We ordered our drinks at the beginning and had yo ask twice where the drinks were going to be brought to the table. Half way through our meal they finally brought out the sodas. I should say we ordered a cocktail but it never came. We even had another waitress come by and ask what kind of cocktail it was and never came back to tell us they weren’t serving alcoholic drinks. They were a hot mess. I normally go to Shin Sung Korean BBQ in Federal Way. But the girls did not want to go that far from home. So we tried this place. Big mistake. Once I got the bill for 6 of us at $312. I was absolutely shocked at the $43 gratuity with the poor service that we received. I am warning you now this place is horrible do not waste your money. Take my advice and go to Shin Sung. The food is amazing and they are on top of the refills on your side...

Unfortunately there’s no zero star because I will never return to this restaurant again!!My friends and I went there to celebrate a birthday we have been taking photos with my friends while we were waiting for foods but one Korean lady came to serve side dishes, She seemed so angry,I guess she just wanted to get her work done on our table and couldn’t wait for us to take a photo! I don’t know if they had a very long day but costumer service is so so bad here! only one glasses lady that was so nice to us,I even told her that she is a good worker! but others are so rude and their face didn’t seem welcome us at all

Another server came to our table while we were eating and asked to check the bill already! I said “we are not done yet!” 5 minutes later She came again and said something like “people stay waiting” means telling us to leave the table This’s unacceptable and super rude!

We have been eating there for like 1.5 hours since we ordered foods and didn’t plan to stay there until it closed.We shouldn’t have been treated like that and it was on my friend’s birthday!! I think you can find some good food, friendly service restaurant in some other places but here, they would charge you for gratuity automatically too!I highly don’t recommend this place

Btw we actually wanted to give the glasses lady for an extra tip but we couldn’t find her after. She’s such a good employee and service minded but unfortunately!! this restaurant sucks! Please save your money for...
