So I was a bit hesitant about this place since there are pretty mixed reviews, but decided to give it a shot nonetheless. Unfortunately, our experience was more in line with the unflattering reviews. We ordered a few different chicken dishes and the peanut noodles. The fried chicken in the orange chicken and general tso was very chewy and dry, as if it was old, bad pieces of meat. Wouldn't be surprised if it was leftover chicken from previous days with how it was.
The cashew chicken was almost flavorless, not sure what was going on with that, it had a very light brown sauce which just tasted close to nothing like it was watered down almost.
The peanut noodles were fine, just very peanut butter-y and lacking other flavor which isn't necessarily bad but I like when the flavor is a bit brighter.
Besides the orange chicken having the old, chewy, dry chicken the flavor of the sauce was very good, but I couldn't get past the texture and flavor of the chicken.
Even the fortune cookies tasted stale, and they were the normal individually wrapped in plastic kind... Makes you wonder a bit.
Portion size for the large meal was good, but I am not interested in eating my leftovers.
Overall we will not be ordering again...
Read moreI usually don’t feel the need to write a poor review but it’s been more than one time now that I’ve had an unsatisfactory experience. The lady who answers the phone always seems annoyed and in person commented about how she was surprised I came to pick up my order. I told her that I waited the allotted amount of time that she gave in the phone and the business hours state 9pm as closing and it was 7:30pm when I arrived. She proceeded to say that Google hadn’t updated the information about the hours and that sometimes they leave early and that day they had a technician coming in to fix something. I’m sorry but it’s not my problem if a worker wants to leave earlier than the given business times and if it’s that concerning they should say that when they give the pick up time. This is the last thing I wanted to hear after I’m getting off work and trying to get my dinner back home. Not only was the service poor but the food was horrible. I’ve always given rave reviews about this place and the food but there’s just no excuse. The fried wontons had no filling and tasted stale, the fried rice was clumped together and tasted old. It was beyond disappointing and it’s most likely the last time...
Read moreNot sure who your hospitality hostess is, however, at 8:10 p.m. on a Wednesday evening she was not only off-putting and unfriendly, but discouraging from ever trying this place again
Am new to here and only wanted to order something to go, but she was neither welcoming nor encouraging and was by far the coldest, most indifferent, and worst ambassador encountered since arriving here. - She made it clear that her only mission was to get out of the place as soon possible, the opposite of what is likely her job. - "I'm closing in a half hour," was her lone response when greeting for what would have been a fifteen-minute $40 order.
There are dozens of this place within a couple miles of here who are likely equally food good-enough, but with more friendly and welcoming staff and atmosphere
This experience was the opposite of hospitality and what a sour person and experience she is, at least on first impression and encounter, which is most crucial for such a place. - Shall never try this forgettable plaza spot again and shall share this story of this experience should it ever come up in the future.
All American-Asian food is good. It's the people who make it special
But this -...
