My husband and I had a very upsetting encounter with a Wendyâs manager named Sonia. While waiting for our car at a nearby shop, we purchased Wendyâs drinks and found a quiet, out-of-sight spot near the grass by the parking lot to finish them. Out of respect, we stayed away from the curb and public view, making sure we were discreet and not bothering anyone.
Instead of simply approaching us politely, Sonia came out in uniform, immediately hostile, and demanded we leave "her property." What followed was shockingly unprofessional and demeaning. She made insulting accusations, labeling us as "homeless," "druggies," and "trying to hide"ânone of which are true. We are a married couple, stable, clean, and respectful, and we were deeply disturbed by the stereotypes and degrading remarks she threw at us in front of others in the parking lot.
Even after we explained that her assumptions were completely wrong, Sonia continued with a sarcastic, dismissive "Oh Iâm so sure," and escalated the situation further by threatening to call the police. Her behavior came across as entitled, judgmental, and far beneath the standards of professionalism one would expect from a Wendyâs manager.
Wendyâs is a customer-based business, and managers represent the brand. To see someone in that position verbally attack and belittle customers instead of handling a situation respectfully is unacceptable. A polite request to move would have been more than enough. Instead, we left with a sour experience, not because of the food, but because of Soniaâs disturbing attitude and lack of basic respect.
Wendyâs should not allow any manager to treat people this wayâit reflects terribly on the company and alienates good,...
Read moreThis was a hard one to rate right here but since what happened, disgusted me so much, I had to write a review. The people here that I've met here and have taken my order the times I've come here have always been warm and welcoming, that is until today. I was waiting for my order as I requested fresh chicken for my sandwich and then decided I wanted to get a frosty as well. I go inside at 8:23PM and there's this old lady sweeping the floor. In my head, I was like "please don't take my order, God, please don't let her take my order!" She ends up taking my order lol! She doesn''t wash her hands after sweeping And then she go grabs a cup and heads to the frosty machine, she grabs a lid with her dirty hands and touchs the inside of the lid with the frosty she is about to put in the cup, so now I have these dirty germs inside my cup... I didn't say anything. Everyone here but that lady is a super nice though besides this lady. That lady is a sad excuse for Wendy's. I use to work at Wendy's and they have high standards. That lady is not anywhere near the Wendy's standard. And for that, this place receives 3 stars. If it wasn't for that experience I had earlier, it would have been 5 stars. 2 stars had to go for that incident though because that was disgusting! If that's what she does in front of me, imagine what she's doing behind closed doors. Enough said. I will have to order my food in person at this location now because of this review but it is what it is. Bad service=bad...
Read moreThis has been a hit or miss place. I normally grab Wendys about 2-3 times a month (sometimes 4), and I always grab the same thing: A triple baconator meal, substituting the regular fries with Baconator fries, and sometimes substituting the large drink with a large strawberry lemonade (since they don't have one of those open-choice drink machines), and then a Dave's Double (just the burger) with no lettuce, tomatoes, or onions.
The issue is that a lot of times, I'll get a new cashier who becomes overwhelmed with the order. I try to keep it slow and concise so that they can get it right, but half of the time they don't. During my last visit, they gave me a regular Dave's Triple with everything still on it, but I was still charged the price for a triple Baconator (and I had clearly said a #4). When I had politely said something about it, they very graciously made me a new burger...only it was a regular baconator. Not wanting to make a mountain out of a molehill, I begrudgingly left it like that and left, since I didn't want to be "that" customer that had them remake it 5000 times.
I kind of see why they're dead quite often in the evening, and why they're always hiring. They're nice enough to deal with...but they have a terrible time getting orders correct. Honestly between the two...I prefer the one that goes along South Tacoma Way, as they seem like they know what they're doing and can keep up with somewhat...
