West End Tavern — Restaurant in Lakewood

It’s been awhile since I’d been here and heard the guys from All Saints took it over and are duplicating Map Room pizza, so we thought we’d give it a shot. Pizza was as promised. There are no shortage of good pizza places in Lakewood, but if you’re looking to hit a bar that has good pizza, instead of a pizza place that has beer, this is the spot.

As solid as the pizza was, the service we received was phenomenal. Granted, the place wasn’t packed or anything, but it was the best service I have had at a bar in years. It could not have been better. As a drink was about to be finished, we were immediately asked if we’d like another, and it materialized almost instantly.

I was told the menu will be expanding, and we’ll be back to try some other offerings. It was a quiet Wednesday and we were looking for a bar with good food where we could have a conversation with a small group of friends. This place was...

We just tried to eat here this afternoon. We walked in and waited to be seated but no one helped us and there were no signs instructing us to wait or seat ourselves. After waiting for a moment, a group walked in after us and seated themselves at a dirty table. We decided to do the same and even asked a sever if we could just seat ourselves and they said yes. Then after we sat down a different servers told us that our dirty table was being waited on by people at the bar.

With no other table left and the server didn't let us know how to wait for a table we just decide to leave. I would strongly recommond a hostess or at least a sign asking folks to wait. We had a group that just because they seated themselves first didn't have to leave but apparently you aren't suppose to do that? idk y'all need some order here. The place just...

Something ain't right here. I am house sitting in walking distance to this joint. I was looking for a spot to eat on this Tuesday evening. We were standing outside the door to the Harry Buffalo, and the GF says that there is a Taco Tuesday special at the West Side Tavern. We sit down and I see ceviche on special. CEVICHE?!?! In a TAVERN!!?!??! I ordered it, almost a joke. No way they're properly doing a proper ceviche. I ate those words, and a large helping of that delicious, lime cured grouper. It was ridiculously.
