Amate Coffee — Restaurant in Lancaster

This is AV's best coffee shop! Ámate Coffee has claim the title of "Tradition" with their Mexican inspired drinks. All the syrups they make are house-made in which the quality and taste of their coffee is there in every cup. I feel like every time I come in here, the owner stirs-up a new beverage. My new favorite drink is the Dirty Chai Oatmilk with cold foam just to get that instant caffeine in me with the shot of espresso while the chai gives me that lasting caffeine drive throughout my day. I love knowing that if a drink wasn't to my liking, they will literally accommodate any beverage to my liking. They give me that sense of peace knowing that they are okay with making my beverage taste right to my liking; that right there eases my anxiety 🥹 Enough of the drinks. The staff is amazing, all kind and genuine in their own ways. They all take the time to greet all their customers when someone walks in and when you get in front of the counter, they all welcome you with a kind smile. Love this about them! The atmosphere of this place is like no other; it's filled with great music, life, laughter, and even then, people studying. I enjoy coming in here with my laptop to sit back to do my work while drinking my chai. In addition, the patio space is amazing to sit out there with friends and family while taking in Cali's weather. There's so much more I'd like to say, but to quickly add I love how they are supporting local small business owners like Juju's Plants, J Mashenka Candles, and Ámate's very own merch (please restock ASAP). My hubby and I are expecting and wanted to do something cute and different for our second gender reveal. Right after going to the ultrasound we went to Ámate and asked them to make us a mango smoothie if it’s a boy and a strawberry smoothie if it’s a girl. The two ladies were super excited and knew exactly what we were looking for. We even let them know we needed oat milk for the drink if it was needed. The man told us it was just blended fruit and ice. While waiting for our drink, the man came up to us and literally spoiled the reveal by telling us the mango smoothie needs a dairy…. When we had already told him oat milk. We just walked out. I’m sure their drinks are good but we’ll forever remember this place for ruining our gender reveal....

A must go to in the AV. A new favorite so far. Not overly sweet or over priced like Trio and other spots here in the AV. Very delicious. I'm very picky with coffee shops but Amate won me over. The pastry's are very good. Got the Guava filled croissant pastry and it took me back to Mexico bursting with flavor and not overly sweet. A big + also got the Horchata matcha with the Hojicha Matcha, cinnamon cold foam, and almond milk. It was really delicious. Hojicha Match is really good and I was not expecting it.
